Love your videos. Your story is very much like my own. Always dreamed of having a motorcycle and in fact I did ride motorcycles when I was a teenager. I was into BMX and motocross bikes. My prized possessions at the time were my PK Ripper and my 1979 Suzuki RM 125. Of course… When I was about 19 or 20, the adult world creeps in. . . work, school, more work, marriage, child, more work. . And then life happens… As you mentioned… People you admire, close friends pass away unexpectedly never having had the chance to fully live out their dreams which often times they’ll express to you… Well, I had such an event happen in my life fairly recently and that was enough for me to make the move and purchase a used 2022 HD Pan America Special… it’s been a little bit of a learning curve to get back on a bike, especially one as big and powerful as this one… But I love the fact that you can “dumb it down“ and it’s loaded with technology that gives me extra confidence to incrementally reacquaint myself with the world of motorcycling. Like yourself, I am smitten 🥰

Thanks man. I love to hear stories like this. I agree its a great bike to re-learn on. the rider modes seem to get a bad rep, but I think that's an ego thing. I love that about the bike.

I had much the same experience. I rode on the back as a passenger with my uncles as a kid, but my parents and first wife were against motorcycles. 27 years into the marriage, at the age of 47, I was done with being told what to do and bought the bike on Black Friday in 2014 - a 2009 Suzuki Boulevard 805cc. Like you, I feared age would interfere with ever having the experience. Shortly thereafter, I went through a divorce - not because of the bike. I rode my Zuke to work. It was my only vehicle for over a year. I rode it on the weekends in the mountains of western NC. It helped me put my life together and kept me from harming myself. I remarried. I've owned 6 Harley's since. My current ride is a 24 Pan America Special (they don't sell new standards in the States anymore). I love it, and I'm learning to ride on dirt. But it is so fast. I already got a ticket on it. Ride on! Brother!

What do you think your next bike will be?

@veryevilmoose . I've been playing around with the idea of a T7 or a desert X. Honestly, another Pan America. I would like a PA special next. I'm gonna ride this one for a while, though.
