Tinaraine - as de Bajans say - Waaayyyyyt - mincrowaved cou cou - you're a genius! Never dawned on me to try that but guess wha?! I just did for the first time, sliced and boiled about 3 okras and made a nice personal bowl for me, myself and I and I must say, I was impressed. To any naysayers, don't knock it till you try it and like you said, it's for those times when you want some but don't feel like going through the whole production of a big pot (not to mention the clean up of said pot!), you're tired perhaps and etc. It took all of 4 mins, added some garlic butter and Lou's Bajanbatters hot sauce (free plug) and it was on! Thank you TR!

Lorette! You are so right don't knock it until you've tried it lol. I am so glad you give it a try, while in Barbados I made some one Saturday for a few friends, they were so amazed and surprise to see that the flavor did not change, it remain the same. Sometimes you have to try new things, that don't mean you'll never go back to the old way of doing things, but it's good to experience new things, have choices then make discissions on what you think is best.

Tinaraines I do enjoy your cooking and flashbacks from the past but we as a people must come out of these pagans holidays. Christmas is recorded in the book of Jeremiah . The true depiction of Christ is recorded in Revelation 1:14 and Daniel 10 10:4-6. Christ was born around Passover, for we kno w he had his 12th birthday around passover, which makes his birth to be in the Spring and not in the dead of winter. If what you know of Christ today does not match his depiction as it is written then know that is Antichrist. Paul speaks of another Jesus and another spirit
