Coffee has always been one of my most favorite things in life. I also have Lymphocytic Colitis and bouts of severe diarrhea. One day I was listening to a lady's video about coffee and said, as soon as I quit regular coffee and went to decaf the flairs decreased in half. I was in the middle of a bad flair, so I went to the store for some decaf and the diarrhea and stomach pain stopped almost immediately. I was shocked to find this out after all this time, plus that I actually like the decaf. Hope this helps someone else.

Hope you are doing okay. Just discovered this series. I don’t have lymphocitic colitis, but I have dozens of food intolerances picked up late in life. What helps me: Taking vitamin B12 sublingually and after 20 minutes swallowing it. Pressure cooking food seems to make food break down into more basic units. Food processing food until finely chopped or creamed also helps the digestion. Chewing food fifty times before swallowing. Toasting my bread into super thin slices and air frying until crisp (yeast intolerance). Eating a very wide variety of food in each meal (I do well on with buffets during my vacations) seems to help get around my system reacting strongly to intolerances; at home I mix a very wide variety of whole grains, presoak in warm water overnight, then pressure cook into a porridge. I do very well on cruciferous veggies because I think they suppress yeasts that I am intolerant of. I eat the foods I am most intolerant of at the very end of the meal and take one-third of an antihistamine pill at the start of each meal. Hope one of these suggestions might be helpful, if you have not previously tried it already.

Oh, and I make shrimp broth from saved up shrimp shells…great for gumbo. And I make a rice porridge made of white and glutinous rices plus mushrooms and Oriental sausage and chicken thighs and a few ginger slices and chinese cabbage, also called congee or joak, when my belly is acting up and find that that is very soothing.
