When I was younger I was very very insecure about my hair cause it's kinda bushy and thick (like Hermine Granger's in the 2 first movies of harry potter). But one day my dentist said "you know what, I really like your hair" and when I came back home, I looked at myself in the mirror and thought "Hey maybe your hair isn't ugly, but unique". And that one little comment of my fucking dentist made me like my hair so much more SO GUYS IF YOU LIKE SOMETHING ABOUT SOMEONE, ANYONE, THEN TELL THEM CAUSE IT CAN HELP SO SO MUCH. I had a breakdown over this yesterday. I started crying and told my parents about how much i hate the way i look and how ugly i feel. They comforted me and told me that i was beautiful just the way i am. But i was soo happy When i saw this notification! thank you so so much for always being such a genuine and honest person. My friends at school always joke at me when 'loving yourself' comes up, because in year 8 we were asked what we wanted our last words to be and i said 'i love myself'. I can relate with this so much my, lowest point of confidence so far has definitely been during middle school. I tried so hard to impress other people by wearing the same brands, clothes, act different etc. I find it hard to communicate and connect with a lot of people. I'm always thinking about what people thinking about me and judging not only myself but others as well. I've also treated some people unkindly and I regret how I acted towards them. I'm hoping I'm able to be more positive about myself now that I'm starting highschool and not care so much what people think about me.

so this is the first ever time i am commenting on youtube and umm yeah so this morning my mum - who is a very strict person- wanted to go on my instagram account to see if i had posted anything "inappropriate" (she once told me off for wearing a V-neck tshirt (keep in mind it didnt show any of my cleavage) and demanded i get changed. Anyway after she looked at my DM's (im not sure for how long since she told me that she didnt want me staring over her shoulder or something like that) which i felt very uncomfortable with, for obvious reasons. I tried not to answer back since last time she started yelling, pulling my hair and digging her nails into my left arm simply because i yelled back saying something along the lines of "This is bullshit" moving on.... Today after school when i was walking i was planning on telling her about my bully (Im not really sure of she counts as a bully but she points at me with her friends and give me weird looks and tell my friends that im an annoying bitch.... till this day i have no idea why ive never even talked to her) and i started telling my mum about it but 30 seconds into it she tells me "why are you telling me this? shouldn't you be used to it by now? your'e probably exaggerating anyway" etc and i ran upstairs to my room crying i dont even want to look at her. She is literally the main reason for my self harm... so umm yeah this is my first comment and i honestly dont know what to do as weird as this may sound i have even thought about running away but i honestly dont know.

Please don't harm yourself. That's the saddest when the person who treats you so baddly is your mother. But remember that at one point you will be able to live your life to the fullest. Keep doing what you love and practice the law of attraction and you could start a journal. You can also take some time to create something or meet other people who'll make you feel good about yourself. You're very brave to share this with us! i feel like a used to have good self-esteem then as soon as i hit like age 14 it just started going to shit, even now as a 23 year old i struggle with day-to-day confidence. like with my driving, social skills, dating.... i randomly get bouts of confidence to do things then other times i fully shy away and act dumber than i am without even meaning to.
