This is a sad story. But thanks for bringing it to light Justus. And God bless Makena. The criminal justice system is obviously flawed . How can they put a little girl who has no money in jail for such a crime. It is a travesty, Only the owners should be jailed. She was just an employee. How dare they rob her of months of her young life and put her through such an ordeal. The magistrate should be disbarred and sued.

Honestly, as they say, nyonge Hana haki. Makena if it were possible, you ought to sue everyone involved. Your Boss, the cops, the judge (through the judiciary), the state officer (through the AG's office). You've been through so much and those authorities concerned should face the true force of the Law and know that putting an innocent citizen through this ordeal is criminal, in itself.
