I used to go to the Army/Navy store as a kid and I bought an old green fatigue and a Sergeant rank and asked my mom to sew it on and we didn't know which way it went so it was sewed upside down and my teacher who was about to retire was a WW2 Army vet and he chewed me out in front of the class like a hard ass DS. @@Manco65 I went to basic during the time period you did. I did not see or hear of anyone jamming the bolt into the stock. There was a guy who lost the takedown pin in the bolt carrier - armorers have spares - and the trainee was vigorously smoked by at least 4 DS.

Happened to me as a Private once because I was pretty tired at the time. Forgot to put the buffer spring in and pulled the charging handle. In my defense I caught on right after I did it and fixed it myself before anyone noticed. So no one got in trouble for it. Did feel pretty stupid though. Those notches on the side of the bolt for the forward assist works wonders if you have to work it forward with a cleaning rod.

When I was a kid, I was declared to be a psychopath. So imagine my surprise when I found a wife that was every bit as fucked up and twisted as myself. Now she has this obsession with skulls and skeletons, with which our house is filled. The gun part reminded me of a video I saw of shooting at targets in basic training (never served so I've no idea what the proper term is) but when a private got done shooting and pointed his gun to the ground while trying to eject the mag, he fired the last bullet and the bullet hit the ground. Drill sergeant immediately came up and said "ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!!!" I'm guessing that private had a really rough day afterwards

Hey angry cops! So My buddy was in army, did basic in high, then broke his back in a wreck, military told him he can come back if he qualified in pt. He passed no problem, but the military got scared and called him a liability and tossed him. He was top of class in basic, qualified for ranger school, it took the man 10 years to pull himself together, it killed him, all he wanted was to be a soldier, 10 years of being lost, he's a trucker now doing great. But I was jw, does he not technically count as a vet? Idk if he completed AIT, can't remember. It all happened about a year before graduation, maby 8 months. He considers himself a vet that just got screwed by the system, he was gonna go career. Just wondering sir. Love your show brother !
