You should consider keeping the monkey. It is so iconic, funny and vintage. I know it does have a “child” appeal but honestly, I feel like carrying the child I have inside of me. And my son loves it. In my case, I love Ruyard Kipling and the jungle book, Mogli, etc. and I used to have my Kipling bags at 90’s. But, even it is not your case I think the iconic part really feats you just perfectly. I have a few Kipling bags, too. Haven’t used any of them in a long time. I have one exactly like your navy one only mine is black. You’re right, it’s a great bag to carry and I don’t know why I have forgotten about mine until now. I used to watch Laurie’s videos on her Kipling bags…I miss her on KZbin. All sorts of sizes and silhouettes. And their pouches are just the best ! 🤗 Edit : Envious of you for that little backpack shaped pouch, it's so cute and in what I consider the perfect color ❗ 😍

Hi Connie, Yes I believe they all come with monkeys. They used to all be the furry ones. Now some of the bags are coming with the rubber monkeys. They are great bags. I suggest getting them on sale. The sale prices can be really great. TJ Maxx often has them. Also there are Kipling Outlets. I’m not sure if all the locations. I know there is one near Chicago in Rosemont.
