My Kirby Ultimate G Series

Here is my 2002 Kirby Ultimate G, and my 2005 Kirby Ultimate G Diamond Edition. Both work great and I love them. Enjoy!

I have both as well. I do prefer my Diamond though. It’s been pretty much my daily driver for about a year now. The regular Ult Gs TechDrive doesn’t like my carpet. I know with the Diamond they changed the gear ratios to what they are now and it’s much better on my carpet. But I do love both and would happily use both.

I love both of them. They are both unique in their own way. I do admit I love the diamond bag on the Diamond Edition, and the delicate switch really comes in handy if you have mostly hard floors and area rugs. As far as the ''plain'' look goes, I think the G3 was the most plain looking of the G series.

I have the 2005 also. Bought it last year for 15 at Goodwill. Looks like it has never been used

I personally love the look of the Diamond Edition. The Diamond pattern on the bag and handle with the normal/delicate switch looks classy. It’s very satisfying to own our childhood machine again! 😌

It is a sharp looking machine! I remember seeing Ultimate Gs and Diamond Editions at some peoples houses when I was just a little kid. I remember how new and shiny they looked. I even remember them having the new Kirby smell I know and love. Those were the days.

That’s exactly the same thing that happened to me when I was young. Some people had the Ultimate G when I went to go visit and I thought the same thing about the smell. I used to always smell their ‘cords’ especially because that’s the part where it smells the most.

I agree with you, I like the Diamond Edition pattern better than the Ultimate G. We have 2 Diamond Editions in our house, one for upstairs and one for downstairs.

I even clean my carpeted stairs with my Diamond Edition.
