And it's fun to give me pocket money when I collect it later.

This isn't the first time something similar to this happened. 9. 19th 2023, hundreds, probably a thousand and more chinese players got banned for similar reason. Because at the time, most chinese players were using a Mudfish-like game accelerator called ThunderGod to play GMS reboot, and the note of ThunderGod were shared by many players including the illegal players that Nexon were trying to bring down. So a lot of innocent people got banned in that ban wave. And as you know chinese dont have KZbin and suck at english and don't have a representative player like Steve, those players' years of effort in GMS reboot just went in gutter with little attention. We need JUSTICE!!!

​@@Daniel-.22 There were other chinese players using other game accelerators who didn't get banned, especially those game accelerators that assign you a exclusive ip address. so the problem is very obvious. And at time, gms reboot was quite popular in CHINA, cause we have no reboot server. So, some people began to use illegal hacking program to build large amount of account with 6-8k legion and a couple billions of meso in it, and then sell them to people who want to come GMS reboot for profits. till this day, there are still many chinese players in gms reboot, I'll say 3-4 of the top 30 guilds in GMSR are chinese guilds and they are fine by now. I don't think Nexon didn't notice them.

All these stuffs are breaches to the game's ToS regardless whether he is famous. Whats there to cry about lol. Is their ToS, Steve knows this. Its a risk he knows that he is taking. Even thou the system tags him as a botter which he is obviously not, he knows very well that should he ask them to relook on his ban, this will open more can of worms on his account validity. The bigger issue is why did the Kms PR made a huge blunder in inviting and using him as a representative while not doing their due dilligence to realise that firstly he is not playing inside their region (Using VPN) which is already against ToS. Secondly, in order to even play in Kms, he needs a National IC card thus he is using a Korean National ID from someone in Korea to play which is not only against ToS but also against government laws to use someone ID with or w/o their consent. Don't get me wrong, he is one of the best Maple content creator out there but come on, this kind of stuff cannot be avoided.

as you appeal the ban, be sure to include that you're the main content creator for MSEA and try to tie in how this is good for KMS/Nexon in general in terms of attracting new players to the game etc. maybe they'll give an exception to you/kobe if they realize that you're not "just another player." good luck!

본인 명의 계정이 아니고 혹시 다른 한국인의 명의로 만들어진 계정이면 해당 한국인을 찾아보셔야할거같아요. 예를들어 해당 계정의 명의 주인인 한국인에게 또다른 계정들이 있는데 그 또다른 계정이 매크로나 사기 작업장을 행했다면 (해당 명의 주인이 직접했을수도 있지만 보통은 잠들어있던 휴면 계정을 누군가 해킹해서 이용하는 경우가 대부분입니다) 해당 명의로 만들어진 모든 계정이 정지 당합니다. (한국 메이플은 현재시점 기준으로 1개의 명의로 최대 3개의 계정 생성이 가능합니다. 약관이 제대로 정립되지않은 과거에는 제한이 없었어서 더 많을수도 있습니다. 핵과 매크로때문에 어느시점을 기준으로 3개제한이 생겼습니다) 거기에 채널주인장의 계정이 같이 엮여들어간거일 가능성이 크고요 Vpn이유가 아니고 아마 이 이유일 가능성이 큽니다.

추가로 말하자면 생각외로 한국인의 주민등록번호는 꽤나 이곳저곳 유출이 많이되었습니다. 심지어 몇년전부터는 코로나시기에 비대면 서비스를 제공한다면서 막상 제대로된 안전장치를 두지를않아서 본인인증도 제대로 하질않고 타인의 명의를 도용해서 타인 명의의 핸드폰을 내주는경우도 있었습니다. 이를 이용해 해당 타인 명의 핸드폰을 통해서 통장 카드 게임사등에 가입혹은 비밀번호 찾기등을 악용하여 해당 명의로 각종 이득을 불법적으로 취하는 사건도 발생하기도 했고요. 주민등록번호가 존재하는 한국에서 해킹사태가 의외로 꽤나 일어나는이유는 이런이유들 때문입니다. 이로인해 여기 채널 주인장이 쓰는 계정자체는 해킹당하지않았을지라도 해당 계정과 동일한 명의를 공유하는 또다른 계정이 매크로 혹은 작업장 또는 핵 사용 등에 활용되었다면 해당 명의와 연결된 모든 계정이 정지되기때문에 한국에서 타인 명의의 계정을 이용할때는 조심하거나 진짜 믿을만한 실제 얼굴을 알고 많이 친하고 실시간 연락이되는 사람을 통해 계정이용을 하는것이 그나마 안전합니다. 사실 이마저도 한국법상 위법이긴합니다. 타인 명의를 도용해서 게임서비스를 이용하는것이니까요. 게임뿐아니라 모든곳에서 본인명의가 아닌 타인명의를 쓰는건 범죄이긴합니다. 제일 좋은건 한국인이 되어서 한국의 주민등록번호를 받아서 본인명의 계정을 받거나 아니면 한국 비자를 받고 한국에서 외국인등록번호를 받은다음 이 외국인등록번호를 통해 합법적으로 본인 명의 계정을 만들어서 쓰는게 제일 좋고 안전성이 높긴합니다. 현실적으로 한국인이 되는 즉 한국으로의 귀화는 어렵고 그나마 상대적으로 합법적인 테두리안에서 할만한것은 비자를 받고 이를통해 얻은 외국인등록번호를 통해 한국인은 아니지만 한국에 등록된 외국인등록번호를 통해 본인 명의 계정을 생성하는것입니다. 다른나라에는 이런 구조가 아예없거나 개개인 사람에게 등록번호를 부여한다는게 개인 사생활침해로 보고 기분나쁘다고 할수있지만 한국 우리나라는 아직 종전한 나라가 아닙니다. 휴전일뿐 여전히 전쟁진행중인 나라이며 최근에는 북한에서 Dmz 지역(북한과 남한 사이 경계지역)에 지뢰를 매설하는 작업을 진행중입니다. 지뢰를 매설하다가 실수를 한것인지 지뢰가 노후화되어서 그런지 북한 군인이 지뢰 매설 작업도중 지뢰가 터져서 북한군에서 사상자가 발생하는 사건이 바로 몇일전에 일어나기까지 했습니다. 주민등록번호는 생겨난 여러이유들이 존재합니다만 그중에서 주된이유중 하나는 북한측에서 넘어오는 스파이와 테러범들때문입니다. 지금은 덜하고 인터넷에서 갈등과 선동 일부정치인과의 커넥션과 해킹위주지만 주민등록번호가 생겨난 시절 1970~1980년대 전후에는 북한측에서 남한으로 워낙 스파이나 무장공비 테러범 대통령 암살자들을 워낙 자주 보내다보니 실시간 검문도 심했습니다. 이 검문에서 1차적으로 어느정도 가려내기위한 목적으로 생겨난거기도해서 한국의 주민등록번호가 무조건적으로 잘못되었다고 보기는어렵습니다. 적어도 언젠가 북한이 어떤이유로든 붕괴되고 북한과 남한이통일되어서 더이상 전쟁의 위험이 확연히 줄어들면 그때가서야 그나마 주민등록번호 폐지를 언급해보기라도 할겁니다. 언급인 이유는 저때 생겨난 주민등록번호와 연관되고 엮인 각종 국가 시스템이 민간 서비스들이 너무 많습니다. 이걸 다 뒤엎고 새로 시스템을 만드는건 사실 현실적으로 돈으로든 인력으로든 사회혼란적인관점에서도 힘들거 같긴합니다. 그리고 주민등록번호가 아예 나쁜점만 있는건 아닌게 한국 서버가 상대적으로 매크로나 핵이 덜한 이유는 다른나라처럼 거의 무한에 가까운 계정 생성이 불가능하기 때문입니다. 한국의 대부분서비스는 본인 명의 인증을 통해야만 계정 생성이 가능하기때문에 해당 명의 계정으로 핵이나 매크로등을 사용하면 해당 명의와 관련된 계정을 정지 시켜버리면 아무리 핵사용자나 매크로이용자가 계정을 계속 만들어서할라쳐도 한국 국민의 수가 제한적인이상 새로운 계정생성에 한계가 있기때문입니다. 대부분의 다른나라는 이메일만 있으면 계속 계정을 만들수있다보니 현실적으로 핵과 매크로를 잡더라도 그게 더 퍼져나가는 속도를 따라잡지를 못하죠. 하여튼 이런 장단점이 있는 시스템입니다

Hey steve, sorry to hear that. My account was also perma banned few years back. I believe my account was hacked and they used my account for mesos hack mule farming. This is maplesea btw. I appealed for my account to reinstate stating it is outrageous as it is not me. True enough with a good appeal, u’d get your account back. Goodluck.

I just saw Kobe’s video this is my guess what’s happening. “I wonder if it’s because you are sharing another Maple ID under someone else’s Nexon Account. I use to play KMS (Naver account). I know that with KMS your Nexon account can have 3 Maple IDs created but I think maybe they are now cracking down on (Foreign) account sharing (Maple IDs) within one Nexon account. Example like the original account holder is playing in Korea and the one sharing a Maple ID is playing in the US. That would be considered abnormal gameplay under there eyes. That’s my guess. Sorry to hear this happened. Nexon Korea is very STRICT with there policy’s. I remember trying to convert my Naver account over to Nexon account they didn’t allow a lot of us to do it without a Korean Visa or Korean Government ID. Again so sorry this happened. GMS is always an option but that will be up to you.”
