Hi Gary, I think the early Spring health check is the most important tbh it's only because this is my growing pond that has been on Saki Hikari growth all Summer so I want to know the progress. My main pond I haven't had fish out but the main pond gets the Spring check for sure.

Hi Keith some great growth this year the 2 Showa are looking awesome especially last time one I remember how bad things had got but what a turnaround great koi husbandry

Thanks 😊 yeah the s 2nd Showa has blown me away, it was in a right state. Just shows what salt at 0.5% and water consistently at 24c can do as well. Cheers

Dorsal fin is the one on the ridge of the back of the koi. The 2 fins adjacent to the gills are the pectoral’s or pecs
