Haven’t had that, but have had trouble re-attaching. Turned out to be a stand problem. Folks go crazy about hydraulics, they are complicated but simple. I made a grapple which is helpful understanding this stuff. My little BX hasn’t been back to the dealer since warranty work at 40h, now 200h. Good video.

Glad to hear you've had good luck with your tractor 👍

Great video. Your fix is simple and very effective, great job. Ideally it would be good to weld in a thicker support bar too

Great video. The same thing happened to me, but I got lucky and saw my grapple was loose on one side before it twisted off. I went straight to the shop and drilled a hole in each quick attach arm and pulled them down with a tarp strap. If you use a grapple enough this is going to happen

That's a great idea for a quick fix!

What you showed is the best fix, a bigger pipe between QA arms would cause bigger problem. But my Kubota {07} L3400dt problem is on the rear where the top-link connects to trans case, extra force from my pto winch cracked the case, that where 10000 gears are with very costly repair. I tried welding but didn't go good, so with tip from someone else, I put RTV over weld, then added 3/8 steel plate from under seat and down around back of trans case, added hole for adding fluid, that was 10 years ago. The next big problem was in 2021, it's another paragraph............. When I bought the Kubota I never thought of QA so in 2021 being still mad at Kubotas trans design, I bought Kioti ck3510, Kioti automatically comes with QA for less $$$... But I notice how easy you QA levers pull, ether your very strong or thats totally different then Kioti. This past summer I hurt my back, so I had to make a slide-on extension handle for my QA levers, now I can pull them as easy as you can...........

It is definitely a weak point on that tractor.

I'd like to say weld a larger support bar, but I'm thinking it may crack instead of bend. I'd rather do what you did and bend it back if need be.
@PetersonFarmsofNashvillePFON2 ай бұрын
Yes but I worry if I had to do it multiple times it would probably stress the Steele

Here is the permanent fix.cut that weak little bar.next retract your cylinders that re aligns your left and right sides.next weld the bar back.next lay a piece of 1 1/2 angle iron over the bar weld on both sides also on top and bottom. That is a good idea for the latches.
