Drae, do try to remember that in this DLC it is free to close off pipes. If you don't have room in your silos, and you are going to spill over... close the pipes. It gives you time to make room, then open the pipes again. It means it is a little harder to get everything out of the ground, but it avoids the spillage fees.

Yo, Drea, maybe a bit too obvious of an advice, but what I've found out, is that your competitors spend their cash on upgrades right after land auctions. So if you run a land auction before buying any upgrades or running the stocks auction, you can outbid your competitors in most cases and THEN spend the rest of your money on upgardes

So, based on your playstyle in your 2 videos so far, the best advice I can give you is something I did myself. Each time I go to a new area and while the guys are searching for oil, I click the silo and "test" to see the placement of 2 silos side by side. Then I'll place my rig just beside where that location is knowing I now have room for the silos as I need them. Doing it like this I use 2 rigs and can easily fit 6 silos ( or 3 supers). If you were VERY careful you can get a 7th in there, but that is difficult. My placement looks like this: SS - R - SS - R - SS Because you are playing yours randomly, your running out of room to place more silos and that leads to trouble around August or so

Drae put the rigs on the edges and fill the middle with silos. It will cost more in pipes but it prevents spillages. Also put the gas silo closer to the designated selling point.

Trying to get all the oil out is not screwing you, Drae. It's your inefficient pipes taking too long to do so. 26:54, that T3 pipe sucking oil is rate-limited buy the T1 below it. If you plan your Silos better (and spacing) you can at least get all the oil out, if not offload it as petrol.

My brother drae put 2 rigs right next to oil selling co. and 1 in the dead centre. That way, you'll have space for 4 silo. Upgrade pipes early. Always upgrade initial pipe from rig. That way you can clear the ground way before december and you'll still have time to sell. Dont worry about pipes cost you'll cover it if you suck the whole ground and sell it for good price.

It seems like the strategy for petrol is a little like the old game's strategy with gas. You can't get too too greedy unless you get a really lucky set up early. So it is best to get whatever petrol you can, while also keeping oil in mind early on. But still..better rig placement to allow for the most possible storage tanks. And if they have them in this DLC, the SuperSilos

Also 2:34, your pipes are inefficient. That T1 pipe can't suck oil from the second node and this costs you big over time. The price to upgrade pipes and maximize efficiency is cheap to ensure that you get the full harvest, especially when oil is in low supply and every drop matters. This game is basically a cost-benefit management sim. You want to get all the oil fast enough in time to sell it at max value but without needlessly investing money into it. So minimize scanners and moles unless you need to find something or have cash surplus (not loans, unless absolutely necessary! The earlier you take them, the harder they cripple you!!) And invest in pipes and wagons early to suck as much out. Never leave a pipe operating at less than max unless you can't handle it OR a node is almost gone and you have time to spare.

Why are you so afraid of upgrading your pipes? You could have gotten all the oil in all these missions but you refuse to upgrade pipes until it's too late. Just upgrade to tier 2 on any decent sized node. It almost always pays off.
