i have -1.25 on my right eye & -1.75 on the left one. That machine that measures how bad your eyesight is even said it's like -2.25 but the doctor prescribed me less than that so my eyes don't get too lazy. i started wearing lenses about 2 months ago & so far it's been fine. i can actually get by with no glasses/lenses on. i started wearing lenses as i've heard from people that their myopia started getting better after they wore glasses/lenses on daily basis. i personally wouldn't consider any lasik surgery if it doesn't go higher than -5.0 or something like that because i'm scared i might go blind or something. i have no money for that rn too.

Lasik surgery is one of the best gifts ever. I wore glasses/contacts for 15 years. The day after was LIFE CHANGING. NO REGRETS! My eye surgeon though after the surgery told me to sleep for the rest of the day and not open my eyes as little as possible. I was on the eyedrops regimen too. It's best to use them daily for life! Anyways, congrats on your 'new' eyesight!!!!

Thanks for your THOROUGH experience with Lasik. Many others share there experience but not thoroughly. I had an smooth experience with Lasik but I have friends who've had a nightmare of an experience. Nice vlog Ashley, thanks for sharing!

It's scary when they tell you that you need surgery for cataracts or something knowing how much it can affect. Thanks for this informative video of you surgery experience. I just started using glasses a few years back and I'm 60 now. You have the eye docs here is US saying or advertising as leaders in lasik. What a huge sector of eye care it is going to replace. I can't we are so far behind other countries in leading treatments like you got I am guessing in S. Korea. I just got a new clear pair of glasses and almost 800 with insurance. I will get yearly. I never have tried contacts that are so popular with so many and the younger crowd. Thanks for sharing what I would of looked for anyway on here and great to hear from you I have followed as a lave ly for years. Made the thought of surgery more bearable. Spell correct wouldn't let me spell the name. It was ok to be apprehensive of getting the procedure done since there are stories of negative outcomes, serious complications and like other surgeries an occasional bad outcome. Mostly positive outcomes thankfully.

I got Lasik 10 years ago, the technique was quite old and dangerous then. I had really bad eye sight, if i didn't wear glasses i was completely a blind person. So i had to take the surgery no matter what. And i am glad that i took it. However you should take care of your eyes, dont use them too much or else you may get bad eye sight again.

I've heard mixed reviews on Lasik surgery, but I'm willing to take the risk anyway! I would cry out of joy from being able to see clearly on my own 😆 I have astigmatism in my left eye, but since wearing glasses in 4th grade my right is now just as bad.

What did you mean that the doctors actually move the eyeball? 😭 they're not just removing the dead cells, the lawyer that's been cut off? been wearing my glasses since i was in 2nd grade, and my eye sight worsen when i was really young due to watching tv at a very near distance (my parents were telling us not to but we're just kids and stubborn) how i wish that could turn back the time so i could prevent this from happening, i don't even remember how does it feel to look at your surrounding, seeing it with a very clear vision. ugh, the struggle of wearing glasses but i am really eager to have lasik surgery one day. i'm just a student and my family's broke lol

You'll probably experience your eyes being a bit more dry than usual for a little while, nothing severe, and the swelling will recede with time, although you might not notice the swelling yourself, it's definitely there. Do you happen to have issues with panic? Considering what you said regarding your heart rate going up and feeling anxiety. I have panic disorder myself, so that's something I deal with once in a while. Sometimes for no particular reason, just ending up thinking about something bad and my hearts goes racing so I have to calm myself down. It's the worst when your heart goes crazy and it gets difficult to breathe, but something that severe has only happened to me twice. Thought I was going to die the first time, the second time I was just annoyed because I knew that it was just a panic attack.

Omg🙈 I did it before 2 years actually it was not bad .. but me too I was like wow it’s not hurting at all but when go home it’s start hurting so much I was crying all day and can’t sleep 😂😂😂😂.. HI! I am 17, my eyesight is currently: 6,00 and 5,20 and it gets worse and worse. I heard that you can have this surgery only after 22-24 years old for the wished results, but I'm very afraid that it will get lower. Since there are certain conditions your eye must have if you want to get a surgery( the corneea width, for example, etc) I was wondering about if my eyesight keeps getting worse util that age could I also get a surgery or they wouldn't accept me? How low is it acceptable? ....Please, give me a responsE, I'm depressed by this situation....

depends on the quality of the surgeon and your location. In the U.S.' and with a good surgeon, it averages about 2,000 USD per eye

Also, you mentioned that you can only do a different surgery later if you were to get it again, does that mean you can you only get 1 more LASIK surgery in your entire life? What was the pricing like also? I've heard it's pretty expensive and it's done per eye.

It's case by case so it depends on the person! The doctor will tell you whether you can get another surgery or not when you get your examinations done. They need to see the thickness of your cornea! Some people aren't eligible to get the LASIK at all in the first place, or get another one done after the first one. The price was around $3,000 USD for both eyes :)
