Hey, I’m a freshman on my high schools xc team and this is my first year but I’ve done 5ks before in the past for fun, but everyone has been doing it for so long and are better than me. I just feel like I’m gonna do bad at my meets. Any advice?

honestly just focus on yourself and your improvement, and don't worry about everyone else around. improving yourself is more important than being better than your teammates. good luck and I hope you do well!

Im a freshman to. And I'm already in v1 aka varsity 1. My advice is run like someone is trying to get in front of you in a race. Don't start out to fast and go to practice everyday
