I condensatori smd sono molto pericolosi,ho visto molti,molti AMIGA A600,1200,4000 devastati dall'elettrolitico,ma ne ho visti altrettanti rovinati da dei PESSIMI recap fatti nel peggior modo,purtroppo!

Very true, I've had many, some were fine, some stank of leaked electrolyte and the solder joints were dull so I recapped them professionally. I've also bought two CD32s that were "recapped". The one that was done by a so called company was the worst of the two. Pads ripped off, wonkey capacitors and terrible soldering. It was so bad I had the custom chips transferred to a new reCD32 PCB and it works fine now. Recapping should be left to those who actually know what they're doing, not someone who's seen a few youtube videos. Even if the caps look good in a 30 year old computer, they won't stay that way so I replace them with polymer equivalents so won't need doing again.

After my experience I would never buy a recapped computer. As for unrecapped computers, I wont pay silly prices. It's always a high-risk if you don't get to see it first, just like an old used car.

@@paulklasmann1218 purtroppo A600,1200,4000 hanno l'smd,sono computer delicati e il recap non e' alla portata di tutti.quando si fa il lavoro,o si e' CAPACI,o lo fa una persona professionista di cui ci si fida al 100×100.non tollero gli AMIGA rovinati!.sono d'accordo a usare il polimero invece che l'elettrolitico smd,soluzione definitiva
