Appreciate it. I hope you get it started. For me my shop is a place to forget the outside world & be in peace.

Trying to use up my scraps right now. I have some walnut with some decent amount of sap wood that I'm planning out some end grain cutting boards.

Nice work, I'm just getting into woodworking and appreciate seeing others' work. Have you posted any how-to's, especially on the cutting boards?

Thank you very much & welcome to the rabbit hole of woodworking😁 I have not posted any how to vids when it comes to woodworking, Its hard to hold my phone and work safe but I am working on it. Is there anything your wanting to see specificly with cutting boards? Maybe how to cross cut & rip safety?

@@houseoffire72 Thanks for the reply. I've watched many cutting board videos, but I like to get the perspective of a relative newby woodworker. I really like the small cutting boards that fit in a drawer and would like to be able to laser engrave names and make them for gifts and such. I have a new miter saw, skill saw, and a hand planer, but not a table saw or joiner because of lack of space (currently working in our garage).

@@Northerngulf Its a start but honestly if you wanna save time with the limited tools you will need to buy S4S lumber. Surfaced 4 sides... A hand plane will certainly smooth everything over. But it will need to be tuned & sharpened etc... The best tools to start with are a Tablesaw & router with table. Then a chop saw of sorts, planer, jointer, bandsaw etc etc etc... My shop measures 16x22 inside. I have a full set up in there. Its taken me two years to get where I'm at. A little here a little there goes a very long way. I've had other smaller shops set up and to be honest all ya need are basic tools to do what you want aside from the láser engraving... Dewalt makes one heck of a nice portable job site saw. Alot guys run them. Put it on a stand with wheels... How big of a garage you working out of?

@@houseoffire72 Thanks for this info, and I'm slowly building my tool inventory. My garage is a typical two-car space, but it's shared with bikes, lawnmowers, and such. I'm in the market for a Tough Shed or similar free standing shop space for the back yard.
