I remember some of your early laundromat videos when you were lamenting about how you weren't making the kind of money you really wanted. Now the laundromat looks ten times better, the machines work and you're getting 4x the money. Expenses have gone up but I think you're getting a decent ROI on your investment. Congrats on the latest addition to the family!

Here is my little laundry story of the laundromat I use to go to. The owner I use to chat with him and one day I told him that his arcades were really old and dull. He said he couldn't buy anymore or the city would deem him an arcade not a laundromat. So I told him that he could to buy 1 arcade that has 5+ video games in it. He was shocked that existed. He bought 2 arcades with a library of games in them and he made more money from the arcades than the laundromat. He was so thankful cause I sped up his retirement money he wanted to sell me the business for $5K , I was too young and stupid to realise what he was offering me.

Not sure if it is common in the laundromats but our train stations have toilets lit by ultra violet light (UV) lights to stop the junkies from shooting up in the toilets. A change of light bulb or tube is all you need. Looking at you needing to refill hoppers with coins makes me thank my friend + his sister for adding some cashless / coin operated machines. Thankfully they keep $2,000 on hand in $1 coins to refill the hoppers. The smart ATM issues bags of coins & counts money so there is no need to panic if running low on coins.

My local laundromat is pretty nice HUGE, industrial grade machines, $1.25 a pop. They've never been broken, and the few times I've seen a dryer broken its never a problem because there's so many, and they fix the broken stuff quick. The lesson here is if you buy the right equipment for a business and put money into keeping it running you'll make good money, because people like me will continue coming back due to how well cared for said business is.

And to be honest those numbers are not that impressive now that I've done my research into laundromats and how much they make etc. The laundromat I am buying makes anywhere between 100K per year to 150K per year and it only has 20 washers and 20 dryers in a 1500sq foot space. It's TINY compared to this one.

They can be expensive for some people and also some apartments don't have hookups to accommodate them. If you have to do your laundry in a place like this where there are people doing drugs, sleeping in their cars in the back and its unsafe ... Then that's a clear sign you need your own washer/dryer. That place looks extremely small. Invest in yourself and buy your own washer/dryer instead of putting your hard earned money in his pocket. I guarantee you he and his wife have their own washer/dryer.

A lot of laundromats make money a lot of people don't have washers or dryers I know that for a fact. But when you have a business like that you're using a lot of water so your water bill is probably going to be high. All your bills will be high because of your business. So you got to make a lot of money to pay for all your bills for the laundromat and profit otherwise you won't be in business. You're making business for a profit you're not in business to make nothing you have to make profit.

I was going to say “your opening an arcade? Why don’t you have cabinets in the laundromat!?” And then I spotted the cabinet! But it’s up the back, put it beside the seats. Also, duke box, one of the internet connected ones, not the old school Happy Days LP things. Also, puggies (one armed bandits) could you put one of them in the laundromat? I know different states have different laws. In the UK almost anyone can have a £5 ($7) jackpot, 5p (7c) spin machine

Great video, love to see the money collecting. Fun fact nickels are now worth between 7 and 8 cents each melt value alone. your $4.70 is worth closer to $7.47 now (if you were to break some laws and melt them down) LOL We buy most of our nickel from Russia so the price has gone up very high recently. People may start hoarding nickels

It's not illegal to melt coins or alter money... It is illegal to melt it or alter it and then attempt to use it as currency.. also coins are mostly cheap alloy

@@QargZer yea nothing wrong with a old hobo nickel, (look Em up) yea most of the smaller coins will soon be a thing of the past and probably collectible. Quarters I don’t see being fazed out until at least after my lifetime

this channel is soo oddly fascinating, the routine is intriguing despite the financing part... the calculating part, the numbers look like they're about to jump/shank on each other...
