No it doesn't, but few cheap cotton fabric do get shrink. So put them out to dry.

Just put some handful of salt in a small bucket of cold water and soak new clothes in that. It will prevent bleeding the colour from next wash. Consider using color-catching laundry sheets or detergent pods.
