Great to see old toys from when we were kids. There was a local toy store named Kidstown where I grew up. They had a lot of Lesney toys that I really liked to look at. Many were big construction vehicles so realistic dump trucks, cranes, front end loaders ect. I never got those but I loved the look of them at up in a display and the packaging was first class. Thanks for sharing some of your collection a simpler time when we could amuse ourselves for hours alone or with friends. It's sad kids don't seem to enjoy themselves as we did.

Really enjoyed getting to see these garage playsets! The oldest Matchbox playset that I have is one I bought around 2.5 years ago, the Matchbox Emergency Station. I got the original box with it, but it did have some damage to the box flaps.

Nice JV, I’m restoring a set of the Esso pumps and sign for my FIL as we speak, so I enjoyed the info on those, and I’ve got a Dodge Wrecker and the K5 BP Tractor on the go too. And yes the irony of kid paint restos is DEFINITELY not lost on me lol.

These are absolutely amazing sets. I don't understand why Mattel doesn't see the big picture. Dioramas are HUGE! ⛽⛽⛽⛽Gas⛽⛽⛽⛽stations are wanted, as are car lots. I bought a Tomica car dealership for sale on a website that carries Imports. It was a $80.00 price tag but it was so worth it. Again why Mattel doesn't make these. I've seen the Greenlight stations or garages. My goal is to create a city street complete with 2 or 3 car lots, a highway road, 🛣 street lights, a couple gas stations, 2 small and one larger model, and a auto repair shop. I'd really love to make a smaller version where my racetrack ends on that road. I have a couple Super 6-lane Raceways, as well as a 4 lane and a Snake and Mongoose 2 lane drag strip. Having the finish line at the end of my street Diorama would be epic. My hopes for this stalled. My health issues made things extremely difficult, as did the pandemic. For me Covid-19 is a death sentence. I have heart issues and lung issues, serious enough that I'd never make a full blown Covid-19 infection. I'm not giving up. I haven't seen hardly any new items in months. Our stores are smaller and we have a scalpers paradise here. So new Matchbox are like Bigfoot sightings. You hear about it, but you never see the, yourself....lol. Either way, your video gives me some insight on older items, better things that I've never seen. Die-cast collecting is such a unique and interesting hobby. Thank you for sharing your items, and your thoughts. Lesney/Matchbox has always been a favorite of mine. Great cars, suspension, great detail, and as you showed, awesome accessories! Take care sir 🙏 and again, thank you!

Edster, My friend life is tuff no doubt, I too have just recovered from a heart issue that tossed a spanner in my families work's at the start of this year. Have been blessed not to be affected and or infected with covid and thank God for so. But as for my collection, Well it has taken several year's to put it together and finding the best ones I could afford and able to be sent from where ever was my biggest problem. I love these old toy's and get great pleasure from being able to share them. Diorama's are a big part of the Hobby in my book's and not just acquiring them but actually creating them as you may have seen on my channel in the past few video's. To you sir take care and make life worth every hour God give's you count, in all you do. Cheer's John
