My lesser clown male I got 6 weeks ago is hammering f/t rats everytime. He was smaller than her but is catching up .

Does It matter if you bred a lesser to a Mojave girl to get that all complete white snake or is it better to pair a Mojave male to a lesser female instead ?? 🤔

My lesser female I got 9 weeks ago . She ate after the first week a f/t rat . I got my new rack with smaller tubs and moved the hole collection . She hasn't eaten in eight weeks now I'm getting very concerned now . She is starting to look thin . I don't know what to do again move her back? I just tried a f/t hopper mouse and she didn't eat . I am concreting forcing a hopper in her mouth . Any advice I don't want to loose her. She is only a couple months old and maybe 60-70 g

I'd feed a live mouse hopper. Usually you never assist feed unless they have never eaten a single meal. Once they eat just one rodent you don't have to assist feed. At that weight I'd stick with live mouse hoppers for the next few meals.

@@ChrisHardwickanimaladventures i was busy all day but thawed a hopper mouse and watched all day for her to go to her hide in the tub . I saw her in her hid about eight pm just when i went to watch you new vid and she took the f/t pretty hard . Im scared to check if she is eating it i don't want to disturb her so ill check in the morning ,im hoping she eats, seems like it was a feeding not defense strike but i couldn't see she was in the hide way back and i didnt open the tub much. So im finding they need to be striking out of the hide to eat even in the small tub 15" x 20" x 3 .5" . My spider male only eats in his hide .

Awesome! Hey quick question. You mentioned trying to get a female to eat by pairing her with a male to trigger a feeding response. Do you think a shed skin of a male introduced to the female's enclosure would have the same effect? Like if shes too young to be bred or maybe you don't have the right male for her in your collection yet but you want to condition her for when you do have the right male? Just curious.

If they are too young you probably don't want to do it, that may trigger an initial feeding response but it may also put them off of food, they may think they are actually in breeding season.
