Such discussions shed more light on why religion should play far from issues of sex, sexual orientation, gender and identity as well as sexuality in general. They butcher it and harm lots of people in the process.
@tshepozindela4618
@tshepozindela4618 3 жыл бұрын
I think sex and sexuality are a religious forte because of the deep impact they have on the soul. Biological phenomena however is a different story. The sooner we can separate biological Intersexuality from the act or practice of sexuality and see it for what it is a legitimate biological condition the clearer the role is for religion in this dialogue. Spiritual insight is important here too. Dimakatso knows her God and its her and her parent's faith in The God Of Jacob that has brought her to this depth of Ministry and Activism- That's what she said. So we definitely can't disregard the importance of religious perspective however controversial it might be. Inclusion of the wholeself is important in these matters.

There is no such thing as an infant being born with both a vagina and penis, the genitalia was more likely ambiguous meaning. it didn’t develop into a penis or vagina. Many intersex would still fit into binary categories as male or female those with ambiguous genitalia didn’t develop into male or female which is why it’s referred to as ambiguous. It’s neither male or female.

I have looked at and tried to study these subjects every since I was a teenager trying to find my own sexuality. In many foreign countries most people they can't afford the physicians, psychiatrist and surgery. I am told they go on to live their lives happily and healthy as possible. Having Marriages, Spouses, Children and Families that understand and support them.

For a good part of my pregnancy with him, it was believed that my son was intersexed and I recall medical staff telling us that we can "have it taken care of" shortly after birth. I remember thinking WTF - I'm not going to rush - why would we cut off/sew up before we know what they want?! As it turned out he was born with all male genitalia/XY but it was upside down and the urinary opening not on the penis- surgery was required for functioning, but nothing was added/removed (except a urethra which was too short to urinate healthily). I applaud this broadcast because I think the medical community and the law needs to prohibit/ban these elective surgeries on intersexed infants.

In the astral we are discussing if we should return to such a state or remain separated as we ascend & return to a higher frequencies. Glad to see the conversation has reached so quickly. Shows it is being taken seriously. There is also a group that was asking to return to our Seahorse style of reproduction. I like being able to experience another being myself. I think in the same way that parents should be careful to not make such irreversible decisions hastily, we should appreciate that they probably also do it because they think it'll make the child's life easier. It's usually easier to want to look for someone to blame for our suffering, but sometimes there isn't necessarily anyone to blame.

@@khutjodiphofe2245 While I agree, I want to add that there is stigma attached to being different. Perhaps we as a society could learn something about differences and to accept them, if stories like this have a platform. There are also practical concerns, especially in the case of extra toes, like possibly struggling to find shoes that fit..anyways, thanks for your perspective

That is an insult! Oprah doesn't do a good job, just got a headstart by white women who supported her only because she was a black woman. She also interrupts her guests too much and pretty rude!

Thank you all so much for sharing this information. It has helped me to understand more about persons who are born genetically different, even understanding the terms and using them in the correct context. I believe that the Creator made each of us special to fulfil His grand purpose. In this regard, I am generally non-judgemental and accepting of differences especially appreciating that no one is perfect. Blessings to my intersex siblings.💕
