I'm 24 yrs old and try to be positive but I just cant get ahold of myself. I would love to be half of the woman she is and hold that much joy and composure as she does! She's a huge inspiration. God bless her!

I have cystic fibrosis too (delta F508) I feel you ❤ you are a inspiration to me. I love how after doing all these treatments and medicines you still have a sense of humor and laugh. I think it's important to have that even after we have all these meds and stuff to do. Don't ever listen about your life expectancy, cause as long as your fighting as hard as you can, we will make it 💜

My best friend has CF, but she got a double lung transplant in 2013 when she was 14 years old. Two years later in the summer of 2015 she was doing great until she got diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma. After three months in the hospital she kicked cancers ass! She's over a year in remission now! Her PFT's are 98 now too! She just had sinus surgery but that went smoothly. They had to do an exploratory on her brain because she has a brain leak, but there is no doubt in my mind she will be fine. If you want to learn her story, her page on FB is Kenedy's Hope. Love you Claire!

You're a beautiful girl, Claire. It's true that we all die, and I'm sure it sucks to have to spend your days knowing that yours will be shorter than most and having to spend many of those days with breathing treatments and hospital stays. I did a video for a family I know a few years ago who lost their daughter to cystic fibrosis in her memory on the day she would have graduated high school. You can check my channel for the video about Elizabeth Wall if you like. So it's all perfectly morbid and depressing, but you come off as having a good attitude. I'd say that part of your beauty is your smile. It's a sign of hope, not that we might all continue to live, but that the lives we all have might be spent as well as we can in the midst of a world fraught with peril on every side, perhaps to brighten someone else's day or help someone else feel a little better about a challenge they have. May God richly bless you in the days you have with those you love.
@jimpemberton8 жыл бұрын
+Nicholas Scharer I do believe in God. Therefore, it is natural that if I hope for anyone to receive a blessing, that it would come from him. I expressed that desire to Claire here as a heartfelt token of admiration for putting herself out there to produce some videos that help people. I don't know you, but since my belief in God includes believing that we are made in his image, I also desire that he blesses you. I hope that the idea that someone like me sincerely wishes that good things come to you isn't offensive. Even if it is, I still hope that you receive blessings.

As a teenager living with bronchiectasis, and having the doctors be 97% positive you have CF as well, this channel is amazing. I try on a daily basis to normalize my state, and the oxygen I have to use. It seems like people are afraid of talking to you, and asking you questions, and to ask you how your day is. I hate it when strangers walk away as soon as I cough, in fear I may be "sick". I try to explain oxygen tanks, and nebs, and therapy vests, and my seven inhalers to my peers at the best of my ability. This channel says everything I think, and more. I live in the constant thought of " I might not wake up tomorrow" and " I want a piñata at my funeral" and these videos explain it all. Thank you.

I adore you. I got extreamly ill when I was 14 and almost died. Since then I've had chronic illnesses. Your outlook on how your life even if it is going to end sooner then it should is amazing. I had a kidney transplant and every year I get scared that I'm going to get sick again, go on dialysis and then have to have another's kidney transplant. I know it will happen eventually but not knowing when kills me. I will be watching all your videos and trying to learn a thing or two from you. Through the years of being sick I've met many children with CF.Good luck and I hope your treatments are going well!

I totally feel for you on this, my grandmother had 11 kids in her time, and 9 of them had CF, this was back in like 50s/60s i believe and so they only lived for about 3-5 years at most, the 2 that survived were my mom and uncle, this destroyed my grandmother as she was always scared to grow attached to her children because there was a possibility they would die, even after being told they didnt have CF she still found it hard to attach herself to them. Im so glad that now we live in a time where kids born with cystic fibrosis can live relatively long lives as compared to back then and be happy with it. Im happy that you accept yourself and make the best with the life that you have, spreading happiness and sunshine as much as you can! I have so much respect for you! If I ever have children with CF(Which is a possibility as my mom is a carrier for it and i might be, never tested) I will be glad knowing they could turn out to live a happy life like yourself! Best of luck!

the good thing is many years ago, babies born with cystic fibrosis didnt reach to see their third birthday but now the average person with cystic fibrosis lives to 38, some even live to 50+. so at least if someone was going to be born with it, they were born in a time where life expectancy is decent.

Commenting to tell you that I think you are amazing. Not because of how you're dealing with your illness (that's pretty impressive, too) but just your character, your sense of humour, your honesty and directness. All that makes me feel drawn to your personality. I bet IRL, you're an awesome and fun person to be around. With ups and downs like everyone else but I just enjoy hearing someone talk so openly and honestly about the difficult things in life. Just wanted you to know that. Bill Killernic please stop smoking. Please. Please. Please. My mom died at 52yrs old from suffocating to death then 7 weeks later...my dad from congestive heart failure. Chief cause of death for both was smoking. It is on their death certificates. Dad was 54. They were both remarried, so it wasn't that he was grieving for mom. It was the damage of smoking. Even cutting back some doesn't help. The good news is there are other forms of nicotine to help you. YOU can do it. Don't switch to vaping though, it can cause "popcorn" lung, where there are lesions all over the exterior of your lungs. There are tons of websites, support groups on FB etc. you will be so proud of yourself!

Ilove her. She spreads light always even though it's on such a horrible topic like death. So thank you honestly it makes us feel better about where we are going. X
