I used to save and cherish perfumes too. However, this covid mess has me realizing how precious life is and if I love it I'm wearing it while I can't still wear it. They do go bad after all so I want to use and experience them. I love making memories that will always be tied to a scent. Even those that have been discontinued. I'm wearing it!!!

My mom used to have this avon far away perfume when i was little and sometimes I go to my parents room and spray myself a bit before going to school, thats how i started loving perfumes. The very first perfume I bought was Cool Water by Davidoff

DKNY Be Delicious still reminds me of university. I think I was stuck on white florals for a long time but your videos have really opened me up to the intoxicating diversity of perfumes and I've become a bit obsessed. There are cheaper addictions I could have formed.

What a lovely idea for a video xMy first perfume was Avon Pretty Peach and I was about 10, so 1962 I think, my grandmother bought it as a Christmas gift to put on the tree and I loved it. The other I remember well was Maja by Myrugia which I bought while on holiday and Majorca in 1968 and then Tabu on holiday in 1972...I still have/use Maja to this day x

Lovely story Sophie!! 😃 My earliest perfume was LouLou 🥴 my teen “mistake” it was so powerful but loved it at the time. La Vie Est Belle will always take me back to a trip to Sweden, and YSL Opium I wore for years - always makes me think of my at the time boyfriend. Chanel Chance I’ve had most compliments with & love that. A fragrance can really take you back to people times & places.

I enjoyed this so much. Its so sad when fragrance houses discontinue your favourite perfumes. I learn know to always have one or two of my favourite perfumes as backups just in case it gets discontinued and am unable to purchase it in store or online. Have you done any videos on Jo Malone? Would be nice to see.Also maybe a perfume for every occasion in ones lives. Work, wedding, fancy dinner, job interview..

My very first perfume was a sophisticated scent at 13 years old gifted to me by my older cousin who passed away at 40 years old from cancer five years ago. This year I turn 40 year and my young adult son’s just regifted that same perfume for Mother’s Day . That perfume is Givenchy Amariage it brung me back to the day we were saying at her vanity!

Loved this video! My first perfume was Electric Youth by Debbie Gibson and Revlon. I think that was the first actual celeb scent and it was released before Elizabeth Taylor White Diamonds! My next ones I got afterwards were Coty Exclamation! And Tribe. After that I didn't buy any until J-lo Glow came out and Ralph, followed by Lancome Miracle. They all have a special place in time and bring me back.

Love this! The first perfume I remember is Estée Lauder Beautiful. It was the only perfume my mom wore for more than 3 decades. It made me fall in love with fragrance. My “first” fragrance (besides BABW body sprays lol 😂) was Estée Lauder Sensuous...I was in middle school...My dad just smelled it and liked it so he got it for my sister and me without realizing the name 😂. That’s how I found out I HATE sandalwood! The perfume that reminds me of my adolescence is also Miss Dior Cherie! It still is my favorite of all discontinued and in manufacturing perfumes to this day!My favorite perfume now is a three-way tie between Chanel Chance EDP, Chanel Coco Mademoiselle EDP, and Dior Absolutely Blooming. My birthday is coming up in August and all 3 are on my wishlist 😄 I really want to get more into niche fragrances but my teacher salary has other plans 😅

My first love was at 6 years old and that was Zany by Avon. Jumping ahead to 14 yrs old, i truly loved the original Chloe by Lagerfeld in the round bottle (not Chloe by Chloe). I actually named my daughter Chloe 25 years ago because that was the first bottle of perfume her daddy bought me while he was still just my boyfriend at age 14.

My love at first smell was Lou Lou from Cacharel. It was my awakening in perfumery, like my virginal experience. This happened when I smelled it on a grown up friend and it drove me crazy, I had to ask her right then and there what was she wearing and she said "Lou Lou". This happened when I was 10. I've always had it since I started earning money to purchase it. I am 41 now and still own it and still love it.

My first ever perfume was Armani diamonds, I was in year 9 when it first came out and loved Beyonce, went to France on a christmas school trip and it was the first thing I bought with my Euros! I felt so grown up bc I'd only ever had those Charlie and Impulse body sprays before. I remember spraying it on the hotel pillow bc I loved it so much and probably choked out everyone around me the entire trip with the amount I wore 🤣 My second was Dolce and gabbana light blue, my aunt bought it for my mum but it isn't really her type of scent so she gave it to me, which is where my love of citrus scents started! Only buy the intense version now as it lasts longer, but it was perfect for a schoolgirl in summertime 🍋

I own about 70 perfumes and will change my scent via mood most days. Gonna give Cacherels Lou Lou a mention cus it's full of incense and nothing else like it along with Eden which is the marmite of perfumes. I own Eden and have to be in that strange mood to wear it. Noa is beautiful and unique with that coffee note amongst white musk. I cant live without Top 7, hypnotic poison, hypnotic poison Eau de Parfum, Casbah, britney naughty remix, britney fantasy. Tanasuk, Rahma 🌠💝

My first perfume was Paris by Ysl: my grandma used it and I sometimes stole a bit of perfume from her vanity as a little girl. My first "real" perfume was Ck One even though I actually shared it with my brother. 😂 Other perfumes that I used a lot during the years were :R.EM by Reminiscence Paris, Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy (they both smell like "University" to me) and Gucci Flora Glorious Mandarin (which sadly is discontinued and it reminds me of my first real full time job). My grandma used Nina Ricci L'Air du Temps and Narciso Rodriguez For Her, my mum used Poison by Dior (the first green one) , Rive Gauche by YSL and I remember them really well from my childhood and youth. And of course Hypnotic Poison by Dior, everybody and their mum used it (and still do, actually) . 😂

This really is such a cute video. So nice to hear your personal perfume journey. It made me think of mine. Lol. I used to buy a bottle a decade and was so precious with it. Teens (Versace Red Jeans ...don't judge!), 20s (Jimmy Choo original), 30s (L'occitaine Verbena) ... now in my 40s I want a collection. I have tried hundreds of testers, samples, small decants, blind buys (lots of returns). Only two, yes two, have made it into my collection so far. I am turning my eye towards Niche now. Shay and Blue and Saguara are two brands on my radar at the moment. Thank you for your videos!! So sweet that you started out with perfumes from your father.

I totally forgot Emma Watson was the face of a perfume! What an unexpected blast from the past :D I'm also not a fan of the movies, except for the first one and the second to last one. I'm also not a fan of Emma as an actress, but I think it's great that she used her post-HP time to finish her education (I actually saw her coming out of the mess hall once while visiting a family friend who went to Brown at the same time she did) and begin a more philanthropic-centered lifestyle.

But because Pinterest sends suggestions of what might match your board, I was able to piece together my fragrance timeline-from Avon’s Sweet Honesty to my current choices. Such great memories... my mom used to have estee lauder pleasures and I always loved it even though it was quite mature smelling, I always sprayed myself with it. My first perfume was taylor swift wonderstruck and I loved it so much I cherished the bottle and only wore it on special occasions. Shame because that bottle went bad on me!

I love this video!! 😊💛 I love the ability of perfumes to capture memories, loved ones and stages of our lives! for example my mom used to use Fahrenheit from Dior when she went to marriages at night when I was little, and she smelled so good, very sexy, powerful and mysterious! my godmother wore a perfume, I don't know which one, but when you walked into her house, everything smelled like her and I could tell when she had been in my house too! haha! I clearly remember my dad using Higher from Dior, it's by far the best perfume he's ever had! that perfume it's my dad in a bottle! my great-grandmother used a perfume with tuberose, I really like tuberose smell but I can't use anything with it now because I feel like I smell Tete grandma hahaha! ☺️

I'm just now gettingto be really interested in fragrances but I can say that Tommy Girl was the perfume every girl in my high school wore. Also, love spell by Victoria's secret was popular amongst my coworkers when I was in my mid 20s. Then cool water was given to me as a gift for Christmas one year and I loved it. Right now I'm all about Mon Paris by YSL... And still trying new fragrances all the time

I absolutely love perfume as they take me back to a place and a time. Scents can even change my mood. I ABSOLUTELY love Miss Dior Chere', the old school formulation with the popcorn note. I also like the origional Guccu Envy as well as Lolita Lempicka. Thanks for the video.

I think we are about the same age :) the Ralph Lauren you mentioned in the beginning was my first real perfume I received for my 15th birthday and always wore it. I bought it again just for nostalgic reasons :) I like to smell it and it takes me back to high school. My first all time favorite was Sheer Beautiful by Estée Lauder 🌺 this was around my teens, and up until my 20s And in my early to mid 20s I discovered Gucci's Flora EDT and fell in love :)

My first ‘grown up’ perfume was YSL Paris, I felt so mature wearing it! Tommy Girl is always in my collection and has been since it’s launch. Discontinued perfumes are the bane of my life! 😡. Why....just why....as it’s always the special ones they pull the plug on in my opinion. Ralph Lauren Glamorous being my all time favourite. Absolutely Blooming is my obsession at the moment, it’s really beautiful along with Tresor Midnight Rose. Finally, anything Burberry I always seem to enjoy and Burberry body was my signature for a while but I think it’s more Burberry Her of late.😀

My first perfume was Chanel #5. I actually just ordered one from Chanel because I got a fake on Ebay ( I still buy many frags on there though, just careful). In some ways there is still only one perfume- I know that is insane, but I love it so much- especially the deep drydown and how it lingers on my clothes.

My very first perfume was magnifique by Lancôme in 2009. Anne Hathaway was the “face” for this fragrance and I was a fan (am still a fan ) of her so I bought the set during Xmas in 2009, the scent was so unique I have never come cross something like it . Unfortunately it’s been discontinued and till this day I still haven’t found anything smell like that perfume :( and around that time , I also had “rose “by Paul smith which has been my fav , CK for her, Parle moi D’Amour by John Galliano and florale by issey Miyake.

My first perfumes were Tommy Hilfiger Freedom for Her, Britney Spears Curious and I had a Escada summer edition collection of minis. In my twenties I had Marc Jacobs Daisy, Givenchy Hot Couture and Prada Candy. The Escada summer editions, Hot Couture and Candy smell beautiful. Daisy is 'nice' at best. Tommy Hilfiger and Curious feel very early 2000s teenage girl now. I remember my Mum had Miss Dior Cherie and it smelled absolutely beautiful!

My first perfume I brought myself I remember was exclamation by coty but my first expensive perfume was poison. Then I found hypnotic poison and have been buying this for 20yrs. My absolute fav, the eau de Parfum also my fav. I still love the original and pure poison. I currently own 1 poison original, 2 hypnotic poisons 1 Eau de Parfum but want to buy the pure poison again. My second fav perfume on a par with hypnotic poison is Avons discontinued Casbah. After these my favs are Britneys fantasy and naughty remix, the white chocolate smells!!! I have about 4 of each cus I panicked brought cus I heard the discontinue rumour. Another fav is Jean arthes Noir velours and of course my Arabic oils Rahma and Tanasuk. I now love Zara oriental cus its vanilla and caramel and Monotheme Vanilla blossom which is paradise. I own Burberry London and love this. The only perfumes I dislike is Versace's women and the only one I truly hated was baby doll it was absolutely vile. I truly miss purple fantasy by guerlain. I adore Shalimar when in the mood and appreciate the history of this iconic perfume. also not enough credit is given to Coty, he was the first sucessful perfume maker In the world....

I own a black bottle of Michael Jackson perfume which can sell for hundreds but I wont part with it. Also I own a bottle of mens Givenchy which is my dads who's not here today. He had a some new bottles left my brother had them but I kept one. I've owned Chanel no5 a few times but got bored of it, I own 100ml coco mademoiselle. I also own a miss Dior but I'm not over keen on it. My fav was Dior addict that blue bottle full of Vanilla the really sweet version. But its hellishly expensive....

Throughout my elem ang high school days i wore baby colognes 😁 perfumes are quite expensive from where i live so during my college years i wore those victoriasecret body mists 😂 i used to work in my college university while studying so its a daily routine of mine to go inside an enclosed booth to do my biometrics and then there is this one guy who got so curious about sa smell inside the booth and after a week of searching he found out it was me 😂..we got friends for the whole summer and he was so fond of me because i smell so good 😂 he migrated the next school yr though.. Until i got married my husband purchase me my very first perfume bvlgari rose goldea..scents are so personal it brought me back to so many memories i made along the way.
