I cried when you were talking about your parents and family. I'm 27 years old and I've move back to my hometown and right now I'm living with my mother. Recently I cannot stop thinking how privilege I'm to finally have healthy relationship with my parents and how much I'm grateful for everything that they've done to me and my sister. Thank you so much for your videos Linda! Every each of them heals me a bit, you're amazing 🩷

The talk about your parents having you at an older age is so relatable. It still makes me sad sometimes when I think about how little time I’ll have with them in my lifetime, but it’s also helped me appreciate being around them and has made me treat them with so much more kindness, patience and love. I know one day I’ll miss their presence, so I’m grateful for every second we get together now.

As someone who has an estranged relationship with my mother it’s really refreshing to see how much you and your mother enjoy each others company. I am 28 now, a lot of things are happening in my life. But one thing that I would not want to change in the world is the relationship to my mum. One should never be ashamed to feel comfortable when spending time with the parents. They raised us, they know us. I live alone but being with my mum, even if it is just for a couple of hours, feels like home. I feel safe and comfortable and unapologetically accepted for who I am. Even with all of my little quirks. ☺

11:11 That part where you mention about spending time w/family, how you + your brother are single, you choose to live at home, etc -- that's not inherently unique. I think it's VERY typical of Asian households. & unfortunately, we lost my dad to a tragic work accident. So CHERISH the time you do have with your parents. Bc of that we all agreed we wanted to spend more family time together & we choose to do it by traveling as a family. Much like this video shows 🧡! I never thought the highlight of my adult years would be traveling the world with my mom/bro/sis** (+ solo travels), but here we are 😅! So yeah, you're not alone in this 🤙🏽& I personally wouldn't change a thing. **+ my aunties, uncle & 91 year old grandma!

I found this video so relatable. I’m almost 20 and just a few months away from finishing college, but there’s always been a part of me that feels like I haven’t done enough for my age. I haven’t moved out, I don’t have life figured out, I’m still learning to be responsible, and I haven’t had the “experiences” people say I should’ve had by now. Most people around me want to move to another city or even a different country. Meanwhile, I’ve always felt embarrassed to admit that I just want to stay home for a couple of years. After we lost a family member unexpectedly a few years ago, I can’t stop thinking-what if it was one of my parents? I know I’d never forgive myself if I didn’t spend enough time with them while I could. When I share this, people don’t always get it because they’re so focused on leaving home. But through all of this, I’ve realized how lucky I am to have the relationship I do with my parents and how beautiful the home I was raised in is. My brother and I have had it so good that maybe we’ve gotten a little too comfortable, but honestly, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. So yeah, I totally get what you said about how we have the rest of our lives to be on our own. For now, I just want to make the most of this time with my parents and show them how much they mean to me. Thank you Linda ❤️

linda. thank you. thank you for everything you say. thank you for everything you do. thank you for being you. watching your videos is therapy for me. a time when I feel less alone and understood. no you’re not weird. no you’re not the only one. spending time with my family, discovering the world, doing what makes me happy, spending money on delicious foods... that’s what I want to do. most people around me don’t necessarily want to do that, but I want it!! thanks to your videos, I feel good. I would also like to travel like you and create me full of memories. however travel ask for a lot of money and for now I have not even finished my studies... so even if it is now that I need all this, I’m still forced to wait... but one day, all this will become reality. I love you linda, and I can't wait to see your next video

So happy that this video came up on my recommended!! My family is from Taiwan and watching this vlog was so bittersweet. I'm also 23 and I couldn't agree more with preferring to stay at home with mom and wanting to travel, but only with her lol!!

Spend the time with your family because you never know what tomorrow brings. I lost my mom in 2014. My dad in 2019. I would give anything to have them back and to be able to spend more time with them.

I’m watching this while being in Koh Samui on the beach. I am close to your brother’s age and also on vacation with my Mum and my boyfriend. I usually go on vacation with my Mum at least once a year and it’s always a long haul flight to Asia. Next time we travel to Korea again together. Cherish the times and vacations with your parents, we all get older and at some point we are not able to do this anymore sadly. ❤️

DON'T WATCH ON YOUR PERIOD... YOU WILL CRY!!! I feel this all the time of guilt for not spending more time with my mother or family members! My mother turned 60 this year and she had me in her 30s as well. We never really appreciate the time we have with people and in life! I love Linda and her family so much and she inspires me!
