I kinda have the same problem, but I don't have stuff that still works hahahaha, they mainly just are with me for emotional reasons, but, as you said, sometimes we just need to let go things so we make room for new things (not necessarily physical things) to come :) I'm so happy to see you again, guys! :D

You may be right. My cat loves my mother's feet when she's walking and never pays attention to mine. I'm always at home, I don't even go out to the shop in front of my house and my mom goes out everyday multiple times a day (not because she wants to but because she needs to work and she's always making favors to family members. I know she's selfless but I wish she weren't right now, because she's risking her life by taking care of my uncle who got covid. But there's the fact that I'm an only child, so I don't understand why she does that, when he has his own home and his wife to take care of him...)

Cory, I've watched your videos for years. I have to say it's been really cool to see you figuring out what makes YOU happy and how YOU live each day the best way you & your family can. This year has been rough, it's been terrible at times, and as someone who's finally figuring out how life works for them, it's being really cool to watch someone I've followed literally since they first were on youtube over a decade ago, being happy & living their life in ways that make them happy & motivate others at the same time. Definitely these are the best videos you've put out, and they're just so encouraging! Thank you for being you, and your family, it really is beautiful. :)

One thing I've learned from the minimalism videos is to ask 3 questions 1) Do I love it? 2) Do I use it? 3) Would I buy it again? If I can't say yes to all 3 questions pass it on to someone who will appreciate it rather than having it sit around collecting dust at my house.

Omg Cory, the video, the memories, the old videos, how can i forget, till this day i remember the titles, make poop, chuck norris, stupidity, shame on you nintendo, my wierd dream, midnight, hard head fail, walking, how to be a man, death of cooking, the art of being lazy, and many more, i always watched you in class and my classmates would say, who's that weird guy, and i always got offended and said "he's not wierd, he's not ashamed of being himself, he's creative!". Stupidity was my ringtone back then! After this video i played it and got shook that i still remember every single word like it was yesterday! Also the camera is soooo good! Makes you like in a film! And also that G-BYE in the end.... It feels so blessed hearing that again! I'LL ALWAYS WATCH YOUR VIDEOS, NOT EVEN KZbin CAN STOP ME! I'll always search your videos! Lots of love! ❤️

here's a challenge...try making a video using all your cameras in one video. It will perhaps help you appreciate what you have even more and help you realize which cameras you don't want to carry on using in the future. Also you're very fortunate to have so many. When my old compact sony cybershot stopped reading cards...I was devastated. It was a gift from my dad who had since passed. I couldn't afford a new one and thus just couldn't take photos/video for 2-3 years. Last year my mom gave me a new cybershot for christmas. I'm so nervous of breaking it, I've barely used it lol My new years resolution is to use it way more, and get back into the habit of photographing my world.

Oh the fun flashbacks! Totally get the tendency to associate things with memories. One way to think about stuff you don't want but still works is to donate or sell them, knowing that the next person will use them on their own journey. Just as you don't want to stagnate, sending usable things along puts them back in the flow of life. Just a thought. PS nice masks you guys were wearing!

It's really hard when there's emotional baggage attached to stuff. When my mom passed away unexpectedly I "inherited" all of her clutter. I was engaged and planning on moving 2 states away at the time. I ended up bringing so many boxes that I just couldn't bring myself to go through. Only now, 5 years and two kids later, am I able to go through them objectively. Hoping to finally have a garage to park my car! It's still hard but it's not quite so raw.

Aww, Gadget. I think he just really misses his big brother and he wants lots of attention from you. Hey, ninjas! I never thought to look at the mask orders that way, I could get behind that! I REMEMBER WTF AND CHEESE. I think after this is all over people will be more mindful about certain things-washing their hands, staying home if they're sick, not crowding other people in stores or on line. Basically we'll have the old normal, just with more common sense.

I have boxes and boxes in my closets of stuff I haven't seen or had a use for in YEARS. When I think about cleaning out some old stuff I end up on a trip down memory lane and then I don't get anything done. I can't let go of these things, because without them the memory doesn't exist for me. I only remember when I see and hold the item the memory is tied to. It's very hard to let things go. Letting go means losing that memory and I can't bear it.

Hey Cory, if you like getting out of the house so much, I have an idea you and your wife could do again. And by the way, it's good to see you making vlogs again, I've missed the "Goodbye!" wave you do at the end of every vlog.

Cory those sterilite drawer container things work wonders for cord storage, i have family that are musicians and that's how they store their spare mikes, cords and the occasional pedals and such. Getting rid of the extras is a good start but the drawer containers are good as well they are stack-able and you could use contact paper on the frames to make them match the room. keep an eye on the weight of stuff that goes in them though if something to heavy gets put in them they can warp.
@green_willowtree3 жыл бұрын
What you need is a nice built-in wall cabinet in that room with cupboards and drawers. As for the old cameras, why don’t you take a photo of each one (maybe with a Polaroid), with a nice background. And make a photo collage of them and put it in a nice frame! Then you can recycle or sell the old cameras because you have a photo memory of each one turned into art to look at each day.
