Super similar thing happened to me- As a teen I was a goth/punk, was reading books written by Anton Lavey, mutilating my body with self harm, believed in spiritualism/new age, tried to kill myself. Then one day I got an urge to attend mass and I witnessed the Holy Eucharist and it brought me to tears, sobbing.. I knew I would never be the same- soul became converted immediately, He made me new. I don't even know who that person was who I used to be.

I was 22 when I saw Sr. Emmanuel talking about Medjugorje on TV. I started fasting on bread and water on Wednesday and Friday, then I started praying the Rosary. I converted very quickly.

I listened to the latter part of this talk after not having heard you for a while and resolve to pray and fast for you (and for many more leaders like you). I've been praying to be set free from scrupulosity which has been tempting me lately and ask you and my other sisters and brothers in the Lord to pray. It's hard to find a priest for spiritual direction. Should I keep looking ... I'm told (even by priests) that I don't need it and that there aren't enough priests anymore. Any suggestions?
