Hello we plan to climb vihren this Saturday. Do you recommend a helmet for the final climb? Is there danger of rocks falling?

Hello, no, you don't need a helmet to go to Vihren from where I went, even less for the other side. Maybe if you climb it by the ridge Dzhamdzhiev rab, but even there, I'm not sure it's a necessity. Which route are you considering? The one I did this time?

Thanks for your reply.I am not sure which one you recommend? I think this way will scare my girlfriend so maybe I will go fron the easier path.

@@kostasp1992 personally, I don't think that the one I took (with the chains) is scary, but to be 100% sure, take the "traditional" path, starting at hut Vihren and climbing the summit from the south. It's more than ok there.
