Ok lemme show you how you could have escaped or at least killed Josh so here it is. Use your trapdoors and place them down all around near Josh in places he wouldn't see like behind him or next to him. Then place the tnt on top of the trapdoor then uses your flame bow to ignite the tnt and there goes Josh. I once tried it and it worked it's my 500IQ move

Most legit way to destroy end crystals: make a shield and then put the tnt, facing the shield, and then, the tnt will blast you high in the sky, and then, you will crash into an end crystal, and make sure the shield is pointing at the end crystal, or you will blow up.
