This anime is just✨✨✨ Quick story session: I actually accidentally watched this at 2016 when I was still like 12 or something. That time I had a lot of pressure on getting insanely high grades from my parents. Like the pressure is really ON.(My mom would hit me if I got a low a grade..and its not ur usual hit, pretty common in asian families tbh) I felt really trapped and my anxiety was getting worse that I had trouble getting friends because of it. My brother would usually have this hard disk where all types of movies or series were downloaded(those that arent on netflix) but I still wasnt allowed to used that hard disk because my parents fear that my grades will get low because of it. So yeah my childhood barely had any entertainment in it. Now theres this one time I got fed up with all of that pressure and decided to rebel a bit. I would go downstairs at the middle of the night and watch something on that hard disk. I accidentally clicked Tonari No Kaibutsu-kun(My Little Monster) and was about to exit it but the opening really entertained me cuz it was really funny to me back then. I remember after wtaching 1 episode of it I was really happy and had a sense of comfort that everything will be fine(probably also because of its calming background music in the anime). So I continued watching it everyday in the middle of the night just so they wouldnt catch me watching it. I came to the point where the last episode ended and I literally cried(Im really sensitive so)how it ended. I began my research on that anime to check when was the last update of it and the last update was very recent so I thought they would make a season 2 of it. I waited for YEARS. Still no update. I gave up waiting for the season 2 so I just read it on the manga. The thing is, even though the plot is kinda cliché or just ur typical highschool romance, it definitely has a place in my heart. I wont forget how it helped me in my anxiety back then like I am so grateful for this anime.

Oh my god!!! I didn't know that the "flower day" song by hwang jin ji was from my little monster!! I used to watch this back when I was in 5th or 6th grade I don't remember very well. It was one of my favorites. Back then, we had this channel named animax where these animes were streamed exclusively. My Little Monster, K-On, Winter Sonata, Little Busters, Fairy Tail, Maid Sama, Guilty Crown, Chihayfuru and many more (I can remember only these since they used to be my favorite and still are. hehe). But as it was shortly banned because of non- advertisement issues and I was growing exceedingly obsessed with them, my mother asked me not to watch anymore. Now that I'm about to be 20, I'm getting all emotional. That era was something different, something out of a fairytale. This is one of the best feelings ever. Thank you for uploading the memories here. I hope to find these even the day before I die.

@@aksharas630 haru leaves overseas for a period of time and shizuku needs to work on herself and mature to be able to open herself up fully to the world. Haru sends a letter from overseas and shizuku cherishes it, keeping it on the shelf in her room along with a picture he had sent. Eventually he comes back and they marry having stood the test of time and distance still loving each other. Their relationship prior to this point faces alot of trials in the manga chapters post-anime but points like attending a party held by haru's rich father and having a fight with haru afterward due to her own envy all the while ignoring the pain he had been facing the entire day really grow their characters and make them more realistic than just funny opposites. After this fight she realizes haru is not just unpredictable and wild- he is a product of his environment and has gone through alot to get where he is. At first i asked why shizuku felt she was the one who needed to mature but its because haru is conflicted enough about his own self and tries his best though he shows it in weird ways. She realizes she was being selfish expecting him to conform to any of her own expectations and needs to learn to love him for the wacky but caring and loving person he is. I really reccomend the manga. The drama with kenji got on my nerves at times but the rest is really touching and also one of the most uncompromising and honest romance manga ive read. Haru is an enigma to the very end but the way his life plays out in the manga makes me really happy because he stays true to himself the whole way through, they both do. The manga is great because neither of them give up anything that they wanted to pursue or change themselves in any way other than growing as people, yet they still come to the conclusion they are right for each other. Thats the full spoiler explanation of the post anime plot sorry for the fuckin essay
