Lmfao. That part always make me laugh. “Who wants to help granny sing to the water?”

I appreciated the fact that Filthy Rich was the tough-but-fair type in this episode. He could have been as bullying as Diamond Tiara, but he's not. He's a savvy businesspony, and a firm father. Clearly Tiara doesn't get her personality from him.

Filthy Rich always is nice with the Apple Family, the problem is Spoiled Milk, wife of Filthy and mother of Diamond Tiara. She’s too materialist and learn to his daughter how to be a “high horse”.

The music for Granny's flashback is so beautiful I get weepy every single time. Daniel Ingram's genre-spanning songs are absolutely fantastic, but William Anderson's scoring doesn't get nearly as much love and recognition as he deserves. The late MelodicPony performed a cover of this piece (among other MLP moments), and I can't recommend it enough: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2napaCfYpplers

This is one of my favorite season 2 episodes, especially since Granny Smith reveals how Ponyville was founded.

I was surprised that Diamond Tiara didn't call Applebloom a "blank flank" in this episode, that's a typical insult from her. I guess she had other insults. Really dislike her but Filthy Rich seems like a cool dude. I love Granny Smith, she's such a funny character. And the part where Scootaloo, Sweetie Bell and Applebloom control Granny Smith was hilarious. Really liked the fact that they explained how Ponyville was founded. Last episode it was revealed how Equestria was founded and now Ponyville. Still think they could've built the Sweet Apple Acers a little bit far away from the Everfree Forest tho.

6:45 - *“I'm a little disappointed they didn't call it ‘Zapples’. ”* Writer Cindy Morrow tweeted at the time that "Zapples was of course taken...", so presumably there is someone somewhere who has a copyright or trademark on the word "Zapples". 12:28 - *“So, I don't know why I assumed that that was a term, 'cause I could have sworn I heard the term ‘Zap Apple’.”* Is it possible you were thinking of crabapples? (Not to be confused with Edna Krabappel from _The Simpsons._ )

Great React and Makenzie you always looks beautiful! 💕 Kyle probably suspects why AppleJack's parents never aren't mentioned. It’s one of the saddest events for the Apple Family and the entire show.

14:44 Hahah that look that says "And I thought I'm the weirdest of the two of us" :D But yeah, nice reaction as usual, to another good episode that introduced some more lore about the history of Ponyville. And the music in that flashback scene was indeed very good. One of my favourite pieces by William Anderson. It merges the old Western-style music with the ominous mood of the Everfree forest. Oh, and nice little detail with that zapping the Apple's PRAM was interesting :> I would've never thought of that connection.
