To be honest, I love the episode of Mare Do Well. The character of Mare Do Well reminds me of DarkWing Duck and Batman at the same time. The references to other superheroes gives the viewer a comic book feeling along with the episode "Power Ponies".

I'm all for the free T-shirt. Also, I know you don't read fanfics, but I fixed the issues. This chapter will be released in about a month: - clarified the timeline - used Rule of 3 to limit heroic incidents - had the Mane6 switch up their compliments - also had Shining Armour help Cadence steal a costume for her to modify to use as the 5th Mare-Do-Well. So now, guess what: the Mane6 are no longer even complimenting each other, but somepony most of them don't even know yet! - introduced 'Mr. FIxit,' another hero. His/her/its identity is never explicitly revealed, although it's implied who it is. Fixit also returns for 'Secret of My Excess.'

So Applejack, Pinkie Pie and Twilight each play Mare Do Well in this episode just to teach Rainbow Dash a lesson of what being a real hero meant to act. Well they also succed of making her jealous and very annoyed so I'm suprise that Rainbow Dash wasn't really very angry or furious with her friends for making her feel like a fool. If this is a deleted scene then Rainbow Dash would tell her friend " I can't believe you all would do this to me, I though we're friends?" "But you made me look like a fool in front all ponies, take away my reputation as hero of Ponyville and I have nothing now because of all of you". Then Rainbow Dash leave the scene as she said that she never wanted to talk to any of them again which leave Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy and Twilight upset and still annoyed with Rainbow Dash even more that she still haven't learn her lesson. But this is a little kid's show so the writers and directors would allow this scene as it would upset the young viewers.

Honestly, I have never even watched this episode. When I first started watching the show and looking into the fandom I kept hearing a lot of bad things about it and how it was in many ways just a bad episode, so when I eventually got up to it I just skipped it. Id already heard enough about it to know what happened and it didn't appeal to me in any way so I just kinda...didn't watch it. and I'm still yet to almost 2 and a half years latter. I've seen bits a pieces but never have a I sat down and watched the whole thing.

I don't see why people seem to think the Mane six are out of Character in this episode. They discussed Rainbow's ego, Applejack tried to approach her about it, only to get ignored in the pure rush of ego, so the five of them decided to deflate Rainbow's ego so that they could get her to listen. In the scene with them talking about Mare Do Well, it is true they are complimenting things that they themselves did, but not because they did them. Rather, they are talking about those things because those would be the things that they would know about and have interest in. They are not bragging, they are merely driving the point home in order to deflate Rainbow's ego. I think they should have focused more on the fact that she never says anything, never stays to gloat, and never lets anypony know who she is. That was the point, after all. Further, I don't think the real Mare Do Well should have showed up for the recognition party. The one that came out on stage should have been outed as an impersonator, again showing that Mare Do Well was not letting the fame go to her head. Then, in frustration, Rainbow could have done something that required the intervention of the real Mare Do Well, resulting in the chase scene and eventual unmasking. Actually, I would be more concerned about the Remane five's apparent precognitive abilities when it comes to the disasters they averted as Mare Do Well. Twilight said herself that the spell used to fix the dam must have taken a lot of research. How did she know that it was going to happen far enough in advance to do that research? What about Pinkie and Applejack being suited up and in place exactly where their specific abilities would be need exactly when they needed them. I know cartoon logic allows for such coincidences, as well as quick changes and the like, but this seems like exactly the kind of thing that people would be tearing apart and headcanoning.
