17:31 Just FYI, switches don't force the trains to only go one way like you're saying here. If a train wants to go left when the switch is pointing right, it will just set the switch to left and go. Signals are the only thing that can force one-way travel on a rail. For the first junction you show, if you remove the extra block signal that's paired with the path signal going in, then the only way the trains will be allowed to exit is on the right rail (like you're trying to do with the switch). The second junction is already fine, since the single path signal going in is enforcing one-way travel on that rail, so the only way trains will be allowed to go on the way toward the station is right again. Other than that, great video and loving the series!

A litle construction Idea: When you build bridges or motorways in general, you could put some belts or pipes beneath it. Like Irl sewage pipes and electric cables. They are often laid beneath the street.

You know, now that I've watched Kyle Hill's video on nuclear waste to remind myself how nuclear waste actually works, it makes me wish Satisfactory could have a recipe that combines it with something like concrete and silica to reduce it into a format that can be stored safely, for real the things that transport nuclear waste IRL are these giant concrete coffin-box-thingies that can be hit by a diesel locomotive and the train is the one that comes out of it totaled.

@@haka-katyt7439 I believe its called a breeder reactor, put fissile rods in with many more spent fuel rods, and when the fissile rods are done the many more spent rods are now reusable as fissile rods, though I'd imagine they'd last a shorter time but they overall get more fissile material out than was put in, like the spent rods got reactivated or something. I ain't a nuclear physicist lol just an adept practitioner of the art of Google-fu :P

Well, for the tower, if you want that 'grip' look you can't have it be all filled in. Some part has to show a frame, even if the bulk of it is filled in, there needs to be a part with depth extending outwards, so you get that appearance of a structural beam forming the structural piece that's latching on. Look at the Spelevator, it has those grasping arms which reach inwards from outside, but it doesn't have a fully filled in part. Giving the appearance of pieces which could move would also help.

For the base design I would let the rock it stands on come a little bit more trough. There is so much concrete going down there. When you started the "claws" you had a good looking gap between the left claw and the right, was quite big actually.

Yeah! I did that same thing to get quartz too! But, even that has it's limits! 12-13 4 m foundations (floor hole to floor hole)! But, you have to have a foundation to add the floor holes into! Then you can remove the foundation, once it's connected! So it all looks like 1 piece, minus the floor holes (must remain in place)!!

I.... dont think this is how the rail switch works.... Trains set the switches automatically, the orientation of the signals after the switch dictates which direction the train will go. If the left track of the switch has a signal facing backwards, the train will not go that direction. If the tracks have no signals, than the train always takes the shortest route.

It might not be a glitch about those conveyor lifts, I think there is a height limit for them for realistic purposes (it becomes more wobbly the higher it goes) but when there are 2 conveyor holes, the 2 holes make it stable, so it can be as high as you want

This is why I love the Item Teleport mod so much. I've never had to mess with the trains, never needed to set up routes with the vehicles, haven't bothered with the drones that need all the batteries, and no 1000 meter belt lines. I forgot to add a resource? No problem!

A small correction: those signs that appear at track intersections are for player convenience. Not sure why we can manually switch them since trains will automatically change them to take the shortest path. The important part if you want to make 1-way tracks is the block/path signal directions. With what I can see through the video, and maybe you've changed it, your train network looks fine except for the one block signal next to the path signal on the incoming track at 18:00. I don't think that track should be a 2-way, but I can't see the full network

Treating your 1-way track as a giant intersection is fine, but you need to know that path signals are worse than useless with intersections that only have one entrance and/or exit. First off, every possible path through the intersection overlaps, so there can only ever be one train in the block... which is exactly what you get with block signals. The difference is that path signals don't allow trains into the block until the exit signal is green, which means that trains won't be able to enter until the prior train has left the _following_ block. Trains also can't reserve a path until they are in the block before the path signal, and in some cases will slow down to make sure they can stop at the path signal if needed. TLDR is that the way you've done it will make your trains wait longer for no reason. All you need is one block signal on the incoming track and one block signal on the outgoing track.
