Your locs are gorgeous! I’m a little over 3 months in and I have been using coconut oil and a tea tree oil and water mixture on my hair since day one. You mentioned that coconut oil isn’t good and I’ve heard this too on other videos. It’s working so well for me. My hair appears to be flourishing so far. What signs or changes in your hair did you see when you noticed you need to stop using coconut oil?? I’m wondering if I should just stick to my regimen since it works for me or explore other products?? Any feedback would be helpful! Thank you!

Coconut can cause protein build up if used too much, but I think hair porosity had a lot to do with how coconut oil effects your hair.

It also solidifies in the hair in cooler temps and causes build up. Build up can be caused from the protein overtime as well
