I'm still all excited about pulling my longest nose manual ever this morning.
Yes, this is my personal PR!
The first thing I noticed when visiting this amazing street skatepark in Montpellier was this long nose manual pad, and I thought to myself how awesome it'd be to nose manual it.
And lately, I've been feeling pretty comfortable with the nose manual so decided it's time to give it a try.
This is now the third installment of my "1 hour nose manual drill" video series. (And I'm sure there'll be many more to come.)
I went to the skatepark at 7 a.m., hoping I'd be the only one there. This way, I could focus 100% on the nose manual and not bother other shredders with my camera.
When I got there, the sign actually said that the park opened at 8 a.m., but the doors were open, so I knew that it was my lucky day.
AND!
No one was at the park, so everything was ALL for me. Okay, I only needed the manual pad.
And the battle began.
I got pretty close pretty early, which came by surprise.
But overall, I think it took me around 25 minutes of drilling to actually pull the nose manual.
So. Stoked.
But since I still had time to complete the 1 hour drill, I continued and secretly hoped to pull it one more time.
That second time never came, but it was still a big success.
During the nose drilling session, I came up with two conclusions that will further improve my nose manuals:
1. I need to force myself and push forward more, so it'll get me over the bars more often.
2. I need to get used to the "floaty" feeling when you're in a nose manual. It's actually pretty weird - on one hand, everything feels super effortless (I literally feel I'm floating), but on the other, super intense (because of maintaining the balance).
If you don't know it yet, yes, nose manual is one of my favorite tricks.
Thank you so much for your support - you're all a bunch of legends!
Cheers for watching.
