*Throughout the video I compare these Nikes to the Puma Deviate Nitro 2.

Just got my 3rd pair of deviate nitro 2, also properly broke in my zoomfly 6 after an injury, will still run 50km or so on it and see if it warrants another pair, so far looks like it's cushioned enough for long milers, which dn2s will probably fell flat after 10mile or so. goodluck.

I wanna try these out when it comes out in NZ, looking at making this my marathon shoe.

I hope it works for you. Really seems like a good option, especially if youre not wanting something as aggressive or expensive as the Alphafly.

I like mine , not sure if they would be my first choice for a marathon but a nice shoe nevertheless and a lot of shoe for the money

You’re comparing to which Puma model ? Deviate Nitro 3 ?

@ it’s just because I have both in the living room and I want to chose one of the two 🤣

I don't recommend the alpha fly at your pace or if you are an heel striker, I would recommend the New Balance SC Elite v4.

I think Ill probably stay away from the Alpha fly for now. I'm more of a midfoot striker but late in the race if I have to walk or heel strike a little more it doesn't sound like the Alpha Fly is forgiving enough. I've heard good things about that New Balance!

@@WildOutdoorLiving I have 2 alphafly 3s and yes heel durability is non existent, I just have 50ks on both and the rubber is almost out and the foam is already scraped by the road, I'll use zoomfly 6 as trainer and just use the af3&vf3 on raceday.

How do you think the upper white will hold up? I run on trails and am considering this vs the black colorway
@WildOutdoorLiving4 күн бұрын
It is going to depend on how wet and likely to stain your local soil is. This dual layer upper looks like it will shed my local trail dust just fine. My white Zegamas are aging gracefully. I live in a high desert though. If your trails are wet and you have really dark mud you might consider the black. Personally I dont mind a dusty white shoe myself.
