Jordan Nobbs looked set to be one of the stars of this summer's Women's World Cup, before her dream was abruptly ended on November 18, 2018.
The Arsenal Women midfielder was in the form of her life for Joe Montemurro’s high-flying side, but an ACL knee injury sustained at Everton ruled her out for the season - and took away her chance of representing her country in France.

Bobby Pires ruptured his ACL in 2002 and missed the wc that year. He came back and went on to be part of one of the greatest teams the PL has seen, became an invincible and a club legend. You can too, Jordan Nobbs. Hope to see you back on the pitch wearing the new kits soon!

Jordan Nobbs, the World Cup has been robbed of true class with you not being there. I have had the same acl reconstruction. Focus on the rehabilitation and you will be back stronger than before. I have playing lots of football and full contact martial arts since my injury. You will be back and playing better than before. I suffer from a complete acl year two years ago and I have no idea what injury is that. The only clue I have is that I heard popping sound when the injury occur so I carry on life like nothing happens. One month later, the pain has completely gone and I thought it’s all normal again so I went to play football again but my knee just went out of place for a moment and I am in pain again. 6 months later I finally went to see the doctor and had a mri scan and realise I tore my acl. It was a very sad moment for me I was 14 years old that time and knowing I can’t play football anymore until I have surgery is the end of the world for me. I can’t have surgery until I have grow to my maximum height because the surgery will affect my growth. Two years later today, I still can’t play football normal but I did play sometimes carefully with limited movement. I hope all the young lads can take care of their own body while playing any type of sport. You don’t know what you have until you lose it. I can’t wait to get my surgery🤞
