OMG! I cannot get over how the manager treated you! The strap was definitely a defect. Good luck with the new strap you received. I would keep an eye on the new one! I'm so glad you shared this video. Great advice inspecting the bag and the strap.

I felt bad for you... I am loosing my confidence for the quality of LV bags in recent years. Last Aug. I bought a LV monogram jewelry box (not sure the exact name of it), and the stitches of the strap popped up after using the bag only few times. Then one day I noticed the black leather lock tag strap popped as well, it's like the glue was gone. The funny thing is that, I put the tag in the closet as soon as I got this bag. I've never used it, and it became bad... Few days ago I noticed some unacceptable quality issues from my friend's mini pochette candy red limited edition that she purchased from LV online shop last month. Then we went to LV shop for some answers. Oh, well, the SA told us that "it looks normal, because our bags were handmade, so every bag will be slightly different, even the color and the print."... Anyhow, I probably won't be buying any LV bags for many years...

It’s not the strap rubbing against your body. If that was the case all of us would be returning straps. 😂 I bought a speedy 30 with strap in Hawaii came home didn’t wear bag at all for a month when I was storing I noticed my bag had the same issue I was so upset I had to send it in for repair a brand new bag!!! Never worn 😢

I'm glad I saw this because I plan on getting a mini bumbag this weekend...and I'm gonna examine it like a HAWK before I purchase it AND after using it. Now I wanna go examine my other LV bags/straps. Hopefully no popped stitches ugh. That's annoying. I'd also have been annoyed with the SA, they seemed rude.

I just got this bag during my trip to Italy. I just inspected it more closely after watching this and mines looks good no stitching coming off. I can't believe how careless the customer service was with you. I hope your new strap works out and thanks for sharing.

I think the loose stitch on the new strap is where the thread ends. Yours is just a little long, that’s why it sticking out a bit more. They’re usually on one end of the strap because that’s where the thread starts. I have one small one on my empreinte bumbag on one end. If you run your finger over it it may feel kind of hard because that’s where they harden it or burn the end so it doesn’t unravel. The pop stitch on your first strap though is definitely not right though. That’s a defect, and not caused at all by wear!

They so can switch the straps. My CA switched a strap for me because the stitching came loose on it. My CA was totally apologetic and switched it right out. She said she would contact Operations about the other one and send it back.

I know mine arrived perfectly. I just checked my strap because I have used it pretty regularly since March and mines not doing that at all. Definitely a defected bag. I’m so sorry - that’s so annoying and I hope they make it right. You obviously are such a loyal customer! Love your content.

Shame! I can believe it b/c I've had similar experiences with LV customer service. They try to make you feel it's you and/or wear and tear. I'm new to the brand and have had to take the few items that I have back in store. Right now they are currently replacing a snap on the small kirigami set that was barely used. I purchased the monogram bandalere strap that's already fraying. The rep told me it was normal wear and tear. I'm used to my things lasting and LV is making me reconsider where I spend my coins.

LV has been having quality issues 😢 only thing I can advise you is to get an AS. I don’t learn my lesson 😅 every time I purchase something it has quality issues! Im just lucky my SA always fixes the problem. If it’s before the 30 they just exchange it for another one or if it’s over the 30 day they send it out to get fixed for free

For the price, you should be extremely picky. If it's already looking like that after a few months, what's it gonna look like in a few years? I just ordered the LV Recto Verso card holder in the monogram empreinte, and the zipper kept sticking. I returned it that day. For the price, they shouldn't be having any quality issues at all. That’s not cool. We pay a premium for lux but not get lux service. I had a ridiculous experience recently at LV basically calling me a liar! I bought a strap from an SA in TX who is amazing, I live in Washington State, since the strap was actually shorter than the one that came with my bag, I decided to return it, well they said, oh where is the drawstring dust bag, I said it didn’t come with one, it came with the envelope style and they argued with me! I filmed the unboxing! It is on KZbin! Anyhow they got rude and wanted all the packaging, everything, the paper bag, the box, you name it! I couldn’t believe it, I said call the store in TX! They said they come with drawstring bags. I just wanted the refund and leave. I was a VIC 20 years ago, and now since I’m not I felt like they treated me like crap, I dunno. I would rather shop with the SA in TX than go 20 min to my local boutique. Sorry such a long story but yeah I feel for you! 💗

Oh HELLLL NOO... 😳😱🤯I would have demanded to switch the entire bag right then and there. What he said makes no sense. Horrible customer service. You were already inconvenienced in your time to go there, because of their damaged product, and the inability to use that product. You have already paid for the bag, and now, are not able to use it because of the damage (and now waste more time in getting the damage fixed). 🙄 He should have been apologetic and switched out the bag immediately, no questions, no hassles, no more time wasted. What a pathetic loser with no balls. 🤭🫠 😬 You are right in that the bag may also get popped stitches since it was probably the same batch of leather. Additionally, the dyes of the leather may not match completely between different batches or times of manufacture. The new leather strap may not be the same shade of black as the bag. 🤔 I would probably just return and just be done with it. I have passed on the mini bum bag a few times because it's too similar to my speedy 20s, and is a bit pricey for a novelty piece (personally). I would rather own a full bag for the same or less price, which is why I haven't been able to commit to one. So sorry this happened to u. How frustrating. I just can't believe how they treated you. You literally wore the bag the way it's intended... (like any other handbag, against the body). 😅Even non-luxury bags don't have crazy popped stitches in 2 months with minimal use. You haven't abused your bags. It is a $2400 item...😕
