It is not god that needs to forgive anyone. It is the people that are harmed by actions that you peeple need to make up to. Asking for forgivance without making it up to the victims is meaningless and a road to hell. That is the eternal law according to the bhagavad gita, and that is why the bible in this regard is meaningless dribble. Karma is action. actions stick to the causal body, so you cant get rid of your consequences - unless you do karma yoga and make it up to those you harmed. If you dont, then karma will drag you along so that you are FORCED to make it up to them. Actions are either good, passionate or bad. And their results are also in these categories. Krishna the supreme creator explained that it is meaningless to excuse murderers and thieves. One should act for the sake of action, and not for the results. That will remove one from the law of karma, which is better than good karma. The abrahamitic faith is one of the reasons people dont make up for their mistakes and this has turned this world into a shithole. One should make it up to people one wronged, because only they can forgive you. It is meaningless to pray to god and not make up for mistakes. Meaningless.
