same! my flight got canceled the day before, i was sobbing for hours about it. but after hearing about how bad it was, i definitely would’ve had a meltdown 😵‍💫 i can’t stand the heat & i’m prone to heat exhaustion, i feel like i would’ve fainted being in there

OOF you know it’s hotter than hot when a bag melts 🥵 If temps are projected to only get higher each year I can’t imagine what ELSE could melt! So thankful I stayed an extra day to spend more time with friends and that most of us happened to be in the same hotel! There were so many GA attendees I didn’t get to meet since us VIPs were upstairs doing our 4 workshops AND meet n greet back to back. Like our videos, events that bring our community together are NO exception to the “quality over quantity” motto! Hope we can meet again soon AND spend more quality time together - missing you already! 💖

I AM LITERALLY APPAULED I had no idea it was this bad oh my gosh!!! I thought it was just kinda hot there and a bit busy but JESUS the prices for everything in there and the fact that there wasn't a way for people with disabilities to get around AND it being advertised to kids even though it's right next to a casino?? I am SO GLAD I didn’t go. I was really upset I didn’t get to go to this con UNTIL I saw all the posts from the next day forward. Unacceptable how they treated people and CHILDREN! Major health and safety issues occurred and someone should 100% sue them!

I was interested in going, but the fact that the con was held in Vegas really screamed red flags for me. I wasnt wrong. That's fucked up. Of all the places in America, it had to be in Vegas, on such a criminal district? Yea no. That Kendrick Lamar song playing just straight up piss me off. I'm disgusted as an adult. Honestly? Im way more upset about how they handled the backlash vs the con itself imo, alot of the things (definitely not all) could be chocked up to them having a bigger crowd than what theyre used to, but threatening to harm themselves because of it and being manipulative af about the entire thing has turned me off completely of ever going back, its so sad because i was so excited to go (honestly i was barely able to go in the first place due to some issues in my personal life that came up money wise right before) and for it to turn out the way it did has really disappointed me, like honestly if it wasnt for the people i met i would say it was a total waste of money. I know I am late but I am so glad I didnt go (context: I been to multiple conventions in the past but mostly anime but I been to one or two unrelated to anime) and when I heard about everything that happened at lpscon it was just shocking cause how poorly (especially with people who a disability) and from my experience with other conventions, the people who worked for the conventions usually try their best to make sure everyone is safe and have their needs met. Plus I never heard of a convention not allowing you to bring a snack or a drink into the event? Usually most conventions dont mind you bringing in at least a water bottle so to me its a bit weird

The fact that I thought walking down Freemont street after the event 7.30-8ish was nice because people weren't asking for money, makes me realize that homelessness is so apparent in my city 😭 (legit told my family that I felt safe when I walked back to the Grand alone lol)😅. CAD$ is so bad compared to USD$! I was FR struggling to justify the prices by telling myself that I would have had to pay for shipping if it was eBay. I stumbled across a water fountain near the bathrooms on the first floor, BUT it was never announced by LPSCon, and it was where a popular booth line was 😯 (so it would be hard for the average person looking to find). Loved the video! (and yes those clips at the beginning were sooo quiet lol)

I've always wanted to go to Lps con and it makes me so sad saying this but, I don't think I'll ever want to go. I need a mobility aid to walk, and walking with a cane in crowds is actually impossible. Kinda glad i couldn't go cuz if I did I probably wouldn't have been able to do anything but sit in a chair if I could even get to one. I'm so sad that I'll probably never be able to see so many of you amazing people in person, cuz if this is how the cons are run I am not saving up for that.

Ive been watching all the videos and reading all the insta posts on this whole con and I just think its so crazy how so many things are jist being written off as "running a convention is hard" ... like im sure it is hard but this isnt the first lpscon so why werent there more measures in place to ensure the safey and statisfaction of the con goers. dude, i won tiki’s lpscon ticket giveaway and was so excited to go. idk if you knew this, but there was a worldwide data outage the day before the convention, which also happened to be the date of mine & my bf’s flight. what that meant was ALL flights (at least in the us that i can remember) except for a few from 2 airlines were just straight up canceled- including mine. we still drove an hour away to the airport (our flight got postponed and we still had hope atp) and the customer service line was *huge*. girl when i tell you i bawled outside after we gave up waiting in line 😭 anyways, i preordered prescott hill’s lps art book & it was supposed to get picked up at lpscon. but alas, it was impossible for me to go 🙃 the only flight i could afford would’ve been after it ended. so lpsdove picked up the book for me, and i messaged her that day asking her about it and she told me it was for the best that my flight got canceled. hearing all these horror stories is so saddening because i was so excited to meet people i’ve looked up to or known online for years, only to find out that most of them will never go to lpscon again 🥲
