I hope you enjoy the readathons and all these books. This tbr will probably keep you going for all the Septembers for the next 5 years :) To Be Taught is my fave Becky Chambers book. I liked Rage of Dragons, but it's 99% rage and 1% dragons, so don't set your heart on pages of dragon goodness. Love Will Tear Us Apart is really good. I like how the titles are all songs by Manchester bands. I'm tempted by Hell House and it's available on Libby. I've got a 1200 page chonker and My Dark Vanessa to finish and then I'll see what grabs me. Have a great month!

I didn't realize The Stranger Times series names were all song titles! That is so cool. I'm still waiting for Hell House to come in on Libby. If you get to it, let me know what you think. 1200 pages! Ooh all the manga! I hope you like Promised Neverland, it's so good. I've heard nothing but good things about The Eyes Are the Best Part, I will be looking out for your review. I really need to continue the Goblin Emperor series (I agree interconnecting standalones still counts as a series in my mind)

I hope so too! I just finished volume 2 of Tokyo Ghoul and am thoroughly enjoying my time with it so far. I'll let you know about The Eyes are the Best Part. I'm excited for it. And yes! You should definitely at least pick up The Witness for the Dead. It was such a good book.

Seeing the Burning Page I feel like I should re-read that series - It was very fun. I also need to try some Jim Butcher - either Codex Alera or Cinder Spires

I have had a ton of fun with the Invisible Library. Irene is such a hoot. I can only recommend Codex Alera as it is the only one I've read. But it is very good!

Honestly I hope you enjoy Wicked Fox! The story is very interesting and fun! Specially when it also shows the gobling characters!! I love the ammount of cat mang there is out there! Don't know why but I found it so funny!!

Me too Beatriz! I love a good goblin character! I have read 2 out of the many cat mangas I have and I have found them both very cozy. If you are having a bad day, I would highly suggest picking one of them up.

That's so many books! You should definitely continue in the Nevermoor series. Each gets progressively better! I've never read Percy Jackson either. That feels like a *confession* 😂 Spy X Family looks fun. The Haunting of Velkwood sounds interesting but I'm a fraidy cat so I'll wait and see if its actually scary or more creepy.

"That feels like a confession" 🤣 That's how I feel!!! I'm excited to get to Wundersmith. I had a lot of fun with the first book. I just finished The Haunting of Velkwood and it was so good (4.5 stars)! It isn't scary. More ominous and mysterious. It also has some excellent themes of the definition of home and what it feels like to be defined by your past. It's very good.

Rage of Dragons is one of my all time favorite books. It gives me a feeling of watching some fantasy/action movie. Fair warning, it doesn't have as many dragons as the title suggests, but still has some epis scenes involving them. Can't wait to hear your thoughts about it. ☺ Recently purchased 'Eyes are the best part' for the Spooky Seasonal Challenge by CoversWithCassidy so I'm excited to read it as well. I've heard really good things about Wolf Den, but I'm not much of a fan of mythology/retellings genre so I've been scared to try it. Also, the cover for Masquerade is so pretty. 😍🌙

Good to know about Rage of Dragons. I'll adjust my expectations of the dragon content. I'm excited about The Eyes are the Best Part. It definitely is hitting all my spooky season lists! I have been avoiding Wolf Den to be honest. 🤣 I'm not much of a mythology/retelling person either, but every once in a while one will hit. I did finish Masquerade a couple nights ago. I ended up rating it a 3.75. It was good, but some of the plot was a little underdeveloped. I could tell by the end it was a debut. I will be watching out for the author in the future as I do think they have great potential.

Yea, I should pick them up once in a while as well. I have liked some genres I though weren't for me in the past, but the motivation for picking it up on my own isn't there Usually something external is the thing that forces me to do it. Sorry if my comment on Masquerade in the live potentialy changed your experience with Masquerade. I should probably be more cautions when commenting on books since not everyone likes to know other reviews or general opinions on the book before picking them up. But, I'm glad you still enjoyed it enough to look into the authors future works.☺

@@ellena_reads Oh no worries! I don't think that was it at all. I still enjoyed the book, but it was missing some things that I think a more established author would have caught. Keep the comments coming! It helps me be more analytical with my reading. Even if my thoughts differ, it gives a different perspective to consider.

I’ve had The Wolf Den on my tbr for a while. I didn’t even remember what it was about 😂 I’ve heard several people say great things about The Haunting of Velkwood. Just finished The Haunting of Velkwood and I loved it. A 4.5 from me! There were some things that weren't explained to my liking, but everything else was so fun. A very intriguing story! I've been avoiding The Wolf Den. 🤣 Really all of my mythology I've been avoiding. The mood reader in me just keeps saying "maybe tomorrow" I'm going to checkout Kelsi's channel. I probably won't partake in Halloween-a-thon as I'm doing TBR Harvest, but if I can fit both in I just might! Thanks Alicia!
