@@SiedlerAesthetic such a hard decision. Yes my vert bengal Birkin 30 in evercolor leather is pretty special. You dont see birkins in that leather generally. I like the way it glistens. Unless I got a fake (which is a distinct possibility), I think it was a protype of sorts for evercolor the year before that leather was released broadly to the public. There is a special stamp inside, an asterisk, with the date stamp. Along with the stamp for sales to the artisans. It’s like they had them make it for themselves and try it out. Hey it’s a great story to tell myself anyway…..I also have a Delvaux Brilliant in sky blue, the ceci n’est pas version, which I’m awfully tickled by. I wonder what my collection would say about me. Hahaha.

You have some beautiful bags there Amanda and I love how you value them for the long term. It is the epitome of chic to wear these things for years and years. They won’t wear out. They are quality pieces. Be brave and wear your Chanel. We are sadly not twinning as I don’t own any luxury handbags but I am saving up for a Moynat Flori. There is a beautiful apricot one with gold hardware that I would absolutely love. I think I could wear it every day and everywhere. The quality is beyond anything else and it’s not a shouty brand so it is therefore more wearable for me. Keep up the great work. Love your style

Yessss I definitely will try to wear my Chanel bags more, and since filming this video I’ve actually worn my small classic flap once already..! 😍 OMG I just googled Moynat bags and they are so chic!! Like the Duo tote and the Voyage PM is soooo my style!! Thank you so much for mentioning this brand, I definitely need to look in to this one more now! Oh yep. Definitely. I can see the Voyage pm would be of interest. It’s beautiful. I have seen one at Harrods. When it closes, it sounds like a car door. There is not all that much about Moynat on you tube. I know each bag is made by hand though in the atelier in Paris. There is a video about that. I think Mel in Melbourne posted it. Another KZbinr who talks about them is Anesu Segonda. She has several videos about the different levels of luxury and has done a few videos about Moynat. I hope you enjoy finding out about them.

Are you sure your Birkin 35 is epsom? There’s something about the way the texture reads on camera that makes me suspect it is something else. Granted, it is older and maybe it’s just patina’ed but there’s a shine to it that I liken more to epsom’s predecessor couchavel. It’s lovely regardless

Wow Kelly, I am so impressed!! When I bought this bag from the consignment shop they actually had this labeled as a Courchevel Birkin 35. When I later on handed it in to the Hermès Spa they mentioned Epsom leather in the documentation I got when I picked up the bag after it’s Spa experience - so I thought I would trust Hermès own judgement of the leather type, however I actually think it looks more like Courchevel than Epsom to be completely honest 😅😅

Yeah I thought it might be something like that too - perhaps they don’t have artisans that specialize in Courchevel leather anymore, and therefore they classified it as an Epsom Birkin 35 instead..! I might pop in to the Hermès store and ask them if this can be the case 😊😊
