Hi all and welcome back 🥹
Something a bit different than a travel vlog today, it is my handbag collection.
I mentioned in the video that I have been collecting handbags for over 10 year along with my mother and big sister. So we swap. Many of these are bought preloved, not all, but many. I don’t think I mentioned exactly which ones in the video but if you’re curious let me know in the comments and I’d gladly specify!
I’m aware that I’m very lucky to have a life where these type of unnecessary luxuries are a possibility. I take my handbag collection very seriously and know that I do not purchase a bag if I don’t love it.

The process of sending them to repairs (they send them all the way back to France) and the price, because they’d need to probably entirely replace the leather, is just not worth it to me, because I don’t mind the damages as much! As I said, I don’t mind that my handbags look used and worn.

you've got a lovely collection of bags , i really love the chanel bags , i think that boybag just needs a good polish & a little touch up , then it would be sellable , as it's a lovely bag , the only thing i can afford is a dupe bag lol , although i do have a nice karl lagerfeld bag which is similar to the chanel , but is realllly heavy lol .

Thank you so much! I might take it to get it fixed up, you’re right! Also, some dupe bags are really quite nice! I’ve seen a few that I liked quite a bit and the quality wasn’t bad for a fraction of the price! Lauren by Ralph Lauren also does some really nice affordable bags! I’ve been battling a lot recently with the heaviness of bags.. I don’t know if it’s a sign of my age or what, but I can definitely feel it in my back!

Hi Doreen, The speedy was the first handbag I got back in.. what must have been either 2010 or 2011 and admittedly absolutely have not taken care of it very well. Though I am curious to know what, in your opinion, makes it seem fake?

@@Ingridnielsenn I noticed the vachetta leather side pipings don't have patina like the rest of the vachettas. My aunt used to have the same bag bought onlind, she also thought was authentic until the side pipings didn't turn horny and patina

I can clarify that immediately by saying again, I didn’t take care of the bag at all, and actually a large majority of the side piping’s had entirely worn off (from travelling and generally lack of care) so I got the piping replaced (not from a Louis Vuitton official repair but a bag tailor, it was cheaper). This was only a few years ago 😊

Hi, sorry if I miscommunicated that I expected anyone else to be able to have this amount of a collection of anything that accounts for luxury. If I triggered something or came across in a way that seemed that I portrayed that, I’m sorry. Though, this is the reality I live. Irregardless of what is in my bank account. And I won’t be made to feel guilty if it is not a reality that you can relate to. I hope you can respect my reality, as I respect yours.

Someone who is passionate about knitting doesn’t get the scrutiny of being a show off when showcasing their collection of yarn. Just because yarn is a great deal cheaper. This video was in no shape or form for me to showcase an imaginary number in my bank account, but to showcase something I have been collecting for over a decade.

Many people (including myself) share the same joy of bags and enjoy watching these videos. I don't have any designer boutique close to where I live so I depend on these videos to give me insights and reviews on bags. I don't know how your algorithm led you here but showing bag collections isn't anything new. Admire and move on.
