It's true that foundation shade is the only thing that should not be changed accordingly to your colour analysis result. The foundation should always match your overtone (skin tone) instead of your undertone. This is what I learned from a colour analyst before. Just a little info for you to know. Other makeup products however, would be best tailored to match your colour analysis result. It'll take time to get used to it, so don't push yourself. But from my experience switching from warm makeup products (autumn) to cool makeup products (winter), it really makes me look much younger and fresher. So, I'm really happy with the result. Didn't know that it's not that hard to start looking more expensive and elegant 😂.

A small tip for everyone: you can always try to dye clothes so they suit you better☺️of course if something is really warm toned it is nearly impossible to get the warmth out but it's worth the try.

Such a useful video! I've also just been typed as a winter as well. I love the natasha denona glam palette for cooler tones!

Have you tried using the seasonal palette at the back? I think it's easier to see if a shade harmonizes with a particular season than if it's in the big part of the fan. (You can also check whether it harmonizes better with a season other than your own.)

Dye the dress to a shade of blue red! It's very cute.

Also, the warm red christening dress I agree didnt work with your skin tone, but the browny-burgundy silky wrap dress looked beautiful on you - very harmonious with your eyes.

Do you have light olive skin? [most olives have cool undertones]. Fenty 130 and 145 are what I wear and have fair-light olive skin. Fenty is one of the few brands that offers shades for light olive skin - and it doesnt settle into my pores. Also, olives can wear silver and look better in gold than non-olive winters.

Honestly, I have no idea but I don't think so as Silver looks much better. I love Fenty!

You can wear yellow and I recommend maybe get the TCI true winter fan. Pricey but the best there is and lots of yellow!!!

@@ALittleObsessed Cool. I had a color analysis done and am a Dark Autumn! It has been a shock but I am loving it. I really thought I was a winter but yes I know a lot about winter colors.

Try using accessories like scarfs in your colours near your face. Also, next time you do your hair go for lowlights not highlights. Just a suggestion, you should always do what makes you feel good.

If there's something you love the fit of but not the colour you could dye it?
@kitty_s23456 Жыл бұрын
Yes to this! I've dyed some white tops to make them off-white, using tea. It went well.
@lynnfox8376 Жыл бұрын
Although with your hair covered you were definitely a cool winter, with your hair uncovered you look slightly warmer and can probably wear warmer colours like gold, and the yellow in the dress, as long as most of the outfit is a cool neutral such as black or white.

awesome video ! tip: I think that a foundation around the eyes that has a more cool undertone would suit you better

Do you have any opinions on different methods or systems of color analysis? Personally, I think the seasonal system your stylist used can be great for a lot of people - but! I also think there are some stones left unturned with it. I'm not saying it's "bad" or "wrong" to use this method, it works for a LOT of people, and many are so happy with the results! That said, if you go in and say, "okay, this person has dark eyes and hair so she's deep - if she is warm, she'll be in one of the autumn groups, if she's cool, she'll be one of the winters", not everyone is captured. Winters are cool, but the other characteristic they share is that they wear brighter / clearer colors best. Autumns are warm, but the other factor for them is that they suit softer colors rather than bright. So what do we do with someone who is warm and deep but wears bright colors best? Or someone who is cool and deep, but wears softer colors best? I know the sub-groups are meant to help with this a bit, but I don't think it works for everyone. What I think is perhaps most thorough (again, not necessarily "best" or right", as everyone's experience could be unique) is what's called the Munsell method or theory, because it looks at light vs. deep, cool vs. warm, and soft vs. bright all independently! So you'd be given a primary type, plus your secondary and tertiary traits and your custom palette would reflect that. Really wish more people (especially in the U.S.) would offer this kind of consulting, but it seems very hard to find where I live. But for those of you who are curious, it sounds like this is what Colour Me Beautiful now uses, so it might be available where you are!

Isn’t deep just about the contrast? Therefore a deep contrast won’t look good on soft colours?
@bubblesbubbly8525 Жыл бұрын
@@teacheschem While deep features often come with high contrast, there's a difference between depth and clarity (or intensity). Someone's overall features can be deeper but also come across as either clear / intense or soft, and someone with lighter colored features could be clear or soft as well! From what I've seen, softness can either come from very similar coloring throughout someone's features, or from having sort of a mix of warm and cool features. So in my opinion, someone with brown eyes and hair shouldn't automatically be typed in a high contrast category.

Yes there is sci/art which I feel is the best. I am being analyzed today by Kerry Jones of indigo tones and am very excited!! I think I am also a cool winter.

You can try to dye some of the clothes where you like the style but not the color. Like the yellow shirt/short set, dye navy should make it a deep green. 😊

if you wear a warm lipstick, it will make your teeth look yellow. Im a clear winter and thats what happens to me. Instead of using bronzer which will make your face look odd, use a highlighter instead.
