"It's my deck. I can do what I want." Thanks for that; made me smile.

okay...girl. I totally agree about the Marshmallow...I scored a first edition with no holographic backs, I like it much better. If I wasn't such a die hard DD Mermaid person, I'd probably go for the Sirene too. Wandering Oracle is a really wonderful deck creator(s). I am into the Triomphe della Luna (regular coloring, whatever language) camp. Those other colors never called to me...I do love how that deck looks with the Oracle of Black Enchantment. Can never say enough nice things about La Corte...brilliant deck. I have the larger format Mythical Creatures...you wouldn't believe how beautifully it shuffles...sideways. I pre-ordered the new version of Fantastic Menagerie in the bigger size as well. Really hope that one comes out as good as the old version....ooo, and I am also not a fan of Pagan Otherworlds. I think it's a really interesting deck (love the cardstock and sooo happy to have Playful Hearts!) but I think the deck is ugly. There I've said it. I love what your doing with anti-hauls and de-cluttering. I still have a few decks to remove from my collection. Trying to keep the number controlled...sigh, like that ever works out.

My inner child loves... that "grown up" deck. 13:59 (I don't think the moons really fit though.) All the ones that look like ancient manuscript illustrations just remind me of ... maybe some of the old Disney movie opening credit scenes (by old, think 80s and before)... like sword and the stone, bednobs and broomstick, etc...

Ooo I am waiting on my delivery from Patrick @ Deviant Moon. the standard Trionfi also the new Majors set expander pack and of course, I had to order the paradoxical rose. 💜

I have to admit, I'm still sorta keen on the standard Trionfi. I think the reverse or negative style light & shadow on the Paradoxical Rose was one of the reasons I didn't jive with it?
@AntoinetteTarot4 жыл бұрын
@@Lisa_Papez the standard paradoxical trionfi is the deck I most wish for. I grabbed the rose, because I evidently snoozed too long deciding between the two. I would love to seen the DM tarot in paradoxical to match the book though.

For those out there that are interested, that La Corte dei Tarrochi I got direct from Meneghello after seeing it on one of your videos way back when. I just emailed them directly and asked, and they sent me a copy! Not free off course, lol, but it's a signed limited edition out of 2000. What did you mean by the Mythical Creatures deck showing a "unicorn done correctly"? I'm curious! :-) Anyway, thanks for sharing! I don't have that Pagan Otherworlds, but have always loved the coloring in that deck and yes, seems very "grown up" lol

I have both the Marshmallow Marseille and the Tarot Sirene and I keep feeling like I should let one of them go because I don’t need BOTH but then I get very stuck in this “I should keep the Marshmallow because it was the deck I enjoyed most when first learning Marseille-but I should keep the Sirene because MERMAIDS-but the Marshmallow is a bit more traditional and it’s nice to have that in my collection-but MERMAIDS etc etc” cycle 😂😂😂 So for now I’m just hanging onto both. 😆 I keep debating letting the Ancient Italian go too because even though it’s the only historical Marseille deck in my collection and it’s beautiful, I find it a bit cold and intimidating compared to my other Marseille and pip decks and so I don’t use it much. Quandaries.... 💖💖💖

Yasss I think you articulated my feelings about the Ancient Italian. It's pretty - but it's a kind of pretty I'm not drawn to reach for! My big thing with the Marshmallow Marseille was the way the colour bleeds out (intentionally) of the lines lol. Also MERMAIDS :D

Just received the Tarot Sirene recently as part of a sub box. It’s my first Marseille deck. This is a new system to me. Do you have a guide book that you’d recommend so I can learn? I really enjoyed the decks featured. Patrick Valenza is an artist that literally caught me by surprise. At first glance his style didn’t appeal to me. But when I flipped through the Deviant Moon I fell hard. So of course I ordered his Marseille versions of tarot. I’ve added some of the others featured to my wish list. :)

Yes! I recommend Untold Tarot by Caitlin Matthews!! My fave Marseille book and the one that kept me most excited to learn.
