Like your review. I ordered the I phone 12 pro in pacific Blue . I dont want to cover up the phone . But i will get the case of course in Blue. I have the i phone XR in blue still a great phone and i just updated the XR to IOS 14. A little more zippier. The reason why i ordered this phone is i wasn’t due to upgrade until march but my Phone Carrier gave me a great deal like so good . $0 Dollars down but 60/ a month CDN🇨🇦 Plus i had a 150.00 credit as well . Ive been with This company for a long time so i couldn’t say no . The only thing i dont like is i had to buy a brick for 25CDN and then the case is 65 CDN .. and of course the magsafe charger .... it is what it is . Looking at the phone how gorgeous the 12 pro looks and the three Lenses.. the speed Looking forward to using it . Wont get the phone until next week Ill be giving my XR to my sister. If they wanted to "protect the environment" they would switch to a USB c, which is an industry standard.

The charger and headphone removal was to avoid the possible forced standard for USB-C in the EU...for now. Forcing USB-C as the standard for smartphones was being mulled around as a way for tech companies to be environmentally friendly, so Apple offered this as a “better” solution so that they wouldn’t have to redesign the iPhone...yet...but it’s coming...eventually.

I think the magnets are strong enough but the smoothness of the glass back on the iPhone when compared with the silicone case makes it so that the wallet just slides way more easily off of the glass than the case as you see in this video

Of course they're doing it to maximize their profits. 98% of those 2 Billion power bricks are USB-A, so you either use your old charger (which would then create waste due to the useless lighting to USB-C cable they shipped) or you need to buy a new charging brick from Apple (which requires more packaging , spacers, presentation papers, etc. And I would but some random store charger since you will lose warranty of the U2 TC chip is damaged

@@e39purist89 What exactly is your solution then? Should they give you a USB-A cord instead of USB-C, since most people already own that adapter? Then people would complain that they are giving a slower charger instead of the faster one. Include a USB-C brick with the cord? Well sure, but then you’re increasing waste, not decreasing it. But screw the environment, right? What if they just include no charger at all? People upset again. Seems like no matter what Apple does, they’re going to get criticized for it. I’ve seen every single one of these complaints personally, so I know they exist.

@@micahgoldson1253 Include the USB-C brick. Nobody gives a shit about the environmental impact of charging bricks, and neither does Apple. Those extra bricks will need to be shipped in boxes, with disclaimers, and wrapping, and spacers.
