The charger and headphone removal was to avoid the possible forced standard for USB-C in the EU...for now. Forcing USB-C as the standard for smartphones was being mulled around as a way for tech companies to be environmentally friendly, so Apple offered this as a “better” solution so that they wouldn’t have to redesign the iPhone...yet...but it’s coming...eventually.

Like your review. I ordered the I phone 12 pro in pacific Blue . I dont want to cover up the phone . But i will get the case of course in Blue. I have the i phone XR in blue still a great phone and i just updated the XR to IOS 14. A little more zippier. The reason why i ordered this phone is i wasn’t due to upgrade until march but my Phone Carrier gave me a great deal like so good . $0 Dollars down but 60/ a month CDN🇨🇦 Plus i had a 150.00 credit as well . Ive been with This company for a long time so i couldn’t say no . The only thing i dont like is i had to buy a brick for 25CDN and then the case is 65 CDN .. and of course the magsafe charger .... it is what it is . Looking at the phone how gorgeous the 12 pro looks and the three Lenses.. the speed Looking forward to using it . Wont get the phone until next week Ill be giving my XR to my sister. I atleast have a lot of usbc chargers at home because of my ipad, macbook etc. And excluding the earpods was the right decision in my opinion. You’re missing the point. Not everyone is gonna buy a charger if they already own several. That’s less e-waste. The smaller boxes means they can ship way more phones per delivery truck/airplane/whatever transport method they use. That means fewer trips which means fewer emissions. That’s WAY less e-waste. The fact that they only need to manufacture as many chargers and headphones as they actually need to sell instead of manufacturing a pair of accessories for every single iPhone that they ship is also less e-waste. Overall, the amount of e-waste this is going to cut outweighs whatever is created by some people having to buy new chargers several times over. That being said, removing this stuff while hiking the price is bs. Should have been $650/$750/$900/$1000 not $730/$830/$1000/$1100

It would have been way more counterproductive for Apple to include the USBA cable that everyone should have by now. Now, once you need to buy a new brick it will be an upgrade to the fast charging standard instead of the crappy 5W. I really think this move was well thought out in all areas except pricing. There’s a lot of reasons why I think the new iPhone lineup is not good value for money.

I have had my 12 pro max (128 gig graphite) since February 11th 2021 and I love it! The battery life with some heavy usage is awesome and the camera is perfect and the overall performance of the Iphone is amazing… I’m so glad I didn’t go with the Samsung galaxy s21 ultra.. I know a phone is a phone …But I have always had bad luck every time I have bought a Samsung… I have always have had issues with the battery life and overall performance of the Samsung phones.. and I’m gonna stick with iPhone..

You might as well plug in the cable, if you intend to use it while it's charging. This mag safe makes no sense to me as a charger currently. If anything, I think this is the first step for a port-less iphone.
