My MBA Journey from SIBM Pune- Answering all your questions

Hi Everyone - over the last few months I have got a lot of questions about my MBA - why I decided to do it, my journey, different B-Schools etc - so I sat down and just recorded all the answers
This video turned out VERY long and I still only covered how I got into B-school - not my Bschool experience - so I will try and make a part 2 if you are interested
Also want to highlight that these are my personal thoughts and there is no right or wrong answer - this is just my journey and what I was thinking at the age of 19 when I went to SIBM (Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune)
I also talk about how I prepared for CAT and more specifically why I did not manage to "Crack the CAT" as they say

Ma'am, I already have 3+ yrs work ex(GEM), scored 82%ile this time. I am planning to continue my work for few more months and quit the job at 4 yrs of experience and appear for CAT next year. I am confident to score good 98/99 +%ile. Parallelly also planning for GMAT for ISB. Do you think its a good idea?

ISB is an amazing option for you, considering your work experience. GMAT also honestly is a bit easier than CAT - hope you ACE both exams!

Yes all colleges have different fees. Even under one college, we have to pay seperate fees for each course in that college. Make the payment quickly as the last date for the colleges is running out.

Ok so if you want to become an investment banker, I don’t think a lot of those companies come (might have changed now) - but regular finance jobs are decent ✅ - during my time it was around 1/4 of the batch

A couple of things - Symbi has MANY B schools - not just one. SIBM Pune however is the flagship. So first it depends on which B school- then how do you perform there - so there are many factors

The preparation really depends on you honestly - it took me a few months but I know people who do it in 1 month and people who take a year - so you’ll have to see the test format and decide how long you will take

Actually MICA has a slightly different entrance - if I had to go back I would 200 percent add it to my list and try. The rest were all IIMs, SP Jain, NMIMS

Please try and read more about what is the exact job in each domain - also many B schools don't make you pick right in the beginning. It is typically 6-12 months later

Hey! I totally understand your reason but personally I would not. I feel the entire point of an MBA is building that network and I am not sure if distance learning helps that. However if you’re objective is more to get a degree to apply for specific jobs, then maybe it could work
