Thank you for the detailed review. It is very helpful to know what to look out for before cutting and making a pattern. I have this pattern but have not made it because I have discovered that I don’t like grown on sleeves as much as I thought I would. Thanks for mentioning the free pattern. I’m a sucker for a free pattern. I can empathize with having migraines. They can be a debilitating and extremely annoying life interruption. Well wishes

I am glad you found the information useful 🙂, this pattern design is very beautiful but has several issues that are hard to identify before you actually sew the pattern. I think I will avoid grown on sleeves for a while 😅

I’m so sorry about your migraine but hopefully it will be better for this week. I migraines when I was in my 30s but I seem to have outgrown them now that I’ve gotten to my 60s. Beautiful job with the dress. I’m sorry that it didn’t come out as you wanted it to do so. This dress is on my list for the fall so I may revisit it now that I have seen your review.

Dress mite benefit from shoulder pads, give shape to grown on sleeves.

I never worked with shoulder pads. Maybe that is something I should try in the future :)
