The turbos are TD04HLs, with a custom wheel arrangement that are unlike anything that DSMs had. However, the center section can be upgraded and you can rework them to flow a little more efficiently but they are pretty awesome right out of the gate. I didn't see any Mitsubishi logos on mine though.

That's what makes the 720 and the 765 not as good looking in my opinion. The headlights on the P1 and the 570s are what makes McLaren stand out on its own I think. You see those and you know right away what it is! If they did the same on the 720 I think that would be the most absolutely spectacular'ist awesomeest second car ever made!! Next to the P1 of course. That car is king in my opinion. It looks like its doing 101 mph when it's not even running!! Love that beast!! Oh ya and those are actual words I used earlier, look them up!! You will be there for awhile! LoL

Unfortunately for the logic of your joke, mitsubishi is one of the largest industrial components manufacturers on the planet and they produce turbos for OEM's all over the world. having a mitsubishi turbo is no different than having a turbo on your car produced by honeywell-garret. Honeywell makes porta-potties so can i call every car with garret turbos on it, a shithole? EVERY SINGLE supercar on the planet uses parts from cheaper cars. it is as simple as that. your favorite car in the world probably uses a honda civic water pump or some shit

The engine is built at Ricardo's engine assembly facility in Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex. The turbochargers are supplied by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI), and are different units from those used in Mitsubishi Lancer Evolutions.

The reason those turbos were chosen, is simple. They last a long ass time under harsh conditions. My grandfather started a diesel repair shop and used these turbos for MHI to build high HP engines for marine and mining vehicles. Most of his high horsepower engines were ship to mines in Peru. Good turbos.

Knew the P1 had a Nissan engine but am surprised with the turbos! Replace the ancient Mitsubishi snails with some nice modern twin scrollers & it might beat the 765LT when you launch at the same time, Randy set off before Jimmy said 'GO'! And McLaren's V8 is just a 1990's Nissan 3.5L V8 prototype engine🤔😋😅 But the Novitec McLaren GT is the best sounding currently produced McLaren V8(same firing order as the P1), Maybe the GT's V8 at 700PS + 100PS electric assist for the 720S replacement. Also maybe 275/40r17 Toyo R888R tires on 17x10's for the Drag Times drag race(or 255/50r16 Toyo R888R tires on 16x9.5's for a more period correct look and smaller brakes for 700HP is that an issue?).
