Respect. Your are one strong brave man. Not many things bring me to tears but this did. I lost my job my wife with my 3 kids left and she stopped me seeing them for over a year. She told my bairns i had died. I took her to court and i now see my kids 4 days a week. Heartbreaking

Paul, i have been a subscriber for over a year though not a member. I just want to express my appreciation of the TTR. with Yourself, Bobby and Stato (also a mention for Danielle. And now you post this incredibly honest assessment of your medical problems with the intention of giving support and encouragement to those with similar conditions. I am approaching 85, and although I can consider myself fortunate with just minor Asthma9Which is medically controlled). i want to say how bravely your have tackled your problems and I am increasingly in admiration of your eagerness to help others. I wish you and those in similar experiences the very best going forward and may your courage be an example to all who read or contact you. All the best.

Message is share, discuss and be open. When your poorly, your priorities change. It is getting better, in terms of seing mental illness as NOT being a weakness. As a psychiatric nurse, I ALWAYS say to my clients, YOU are the expert, and every ones mental illness is unique. You have to live it. You mention " bad days " a lot Paul but these days are part of your recovery. It's how you move on, your lived experience. Good luck, and keep talking mate.

Leeds fan in peace. Top respect to you Paul. You’re a brave guy and it’s a great thing you’re doing by being open and honest about your health issues. Your match reviews brought me so much laughter last season and I want to thank you for that. Although, on many occasions it was due to the poor performances and results! I kinda hope that NUFC have a better season next year and reduce your stress and anxiety but I would miss your emotional and animated rants. However, I’m sure the continued presence of Bruce will keep you busy! Keep up the great work… it is making a positive difference to me, your viewers, friends, family and alike. Stay strong mate. MOT

Cheers for sharing this Paul, your journey brought a tear to my eye. It makes you think about how anyone can be hit and why we should all cut each other some slack. You never know how someone else is living their life and what they are going through at that moment.

Paul you are an inspiration to other people, full and massive respect to you, it takes guts and balls to say what you have said, it helps to express yourself, a lot of people know exactly what you have been through, and what you are going through, because they are going through it themselves, me including, you just have to keep bouncing back, don’t give in, don’t give up, I lost my first wife when she was 29, that was approx 30 years ago and still think about her to this day, even though I am married again with a beautiful daughter who has a lot of disabilities, and blind from birth, when she was born my wife had to give up work, we got into financial difficulties, can you believe this, Northern Rock repossessed our home, life has not been easy but you have to carry on, the advice about finding something to do, was absolutely vital, stay safe, and let’s hope we have a better season on the field next season, Toon Army for ever.

Kudos to you, Paul, for opening up and sharing your story with us. I'm a recent subscriber to your channel, and I have also had my own struggles from time to time. What I enjoy about your channel is that you're real folks - down-to-earth people. I love that. Your story reinforces that and makes me feel more at home. As an American (with Geordie roots), I sometimes struggle to understand the show, but who you are as people (and how you make your fans feel - as welcome friends) transcends all else. You have a dedicated listener with me. Thanks again and cheers to your continued success. 👍

Great Video Paul. I've got a mental illness which means I suffer from Seizures from time to time. I went through a lot of tests with the RVI and the Centre for Life. It took a couple of years to be diagnosed with Adrenaluekodystrophy (ALD), a very rare nuerological condition passed down from my mam. As it turns out, it has helped other members of the family to understand any health issues they are having. So some good has come out of my experience. I take tablets twice a day to help keep me right. At time of typing, I haven't had a seizure for about 6ish months. I do live my life like normal which suits me. Unfortuantely my memory is starting to fail which wife is very understanding of and work is starting to become more challenging. I'm more embarrased than anything else when my memory gives up so I tend not to let on - especially at work. Thank you again Paul, your video has helped me to look at my condition from a different angle.

Truly inspiring ... welcome back into the sunlight! Couldn’t wish success on a more worthy person, after all you’ve been through. But it’s made you the man you are. Amazing how the PC was a valve release and helped course-correct you back to a better positive future. Live for the now and enjoy life, but do start and save for tomorrow; one less anxiety for you in uncertain times... Save when times are good when you can! Your channel is set to grow and grow ... it’s your true calling! Looking forward to mega-million celeb success and you buying out our club, as our new Amanda Staveley ... 😀 👍 🤣

Remember people, there are no time scales on recovering. Your recovery is very very personal and specific to you. Take your time, little steps, feeling safe is your priority ALWAYS. You do what you can to achieve this and it is about communication. It's ALL about communication. How can you let people know? Verbal, txt, writing people a note. If you struggle to verbalise things, write on a piece of paper and give to a loved one or a friend. Something on the lines of " I'm not feeling very good mentally, I'm very sad and feel down, can you help please ". It's not fancy but it will get the job done. I promise there are people out there who WANT to help and do care. Please please share. Knowing that someone does care and they want to help can give you the little reassurance you need to feel safe. Remember, if you have no motivation, feel really low and hopeless TELL SOMEONE and never ever put a time scale on " getting better ", it will come but first and foremost communicate in whatever way you can as long as your letting someone know your struggling.
