My mother was an alcoholic and introduced me to the serenity prayer many years ago. It's simple but effective wisdom has stuck with me, and I find myself repeating it often. On the topic of my mother, she never understood why I was suffering from hair loss so much until later in her life she had an autoimmune disorder that made her temporarily lose her hair which gave her tremendous anxiety. I think women losing hair is worse than men, but she didn't lose that much and it was only for a year, yet I never saw her bug out as much as she did due to hair loss. Only then did she tell me she understood what I'd gone through. So shared experience is often required for true compassion. On another note, both of your heads of hair look incredible.

That is a beautiful story. I’m glad you and your mom were able to connect, even if it was over a very difficult challenge for both of you.

I’ve been in this dark place for a while. Started balding at 18 was on finesteride by 19, 22 now seems like I am losing my gains last few months. Has caused a really depressive episode.
@GetLocklab7 ай бұрын
So sorry to hear that! Are you taking oral minoxidil 5MG per day as well like we sell with Locklab.co ?
@Lamb027 ай бұрын
@@GetLocklab Have not yet implemented oral or topical minoxidil. Looking to for stabilization before I add a growth stimulant in. Once I do I will likely start 2.5mg of oral minoxidil a day. I am sure you know how it feels to lose ur hair, sucks at such a young age but I am determined to fight it. Thanks for the response, would oral minoxidil be worth it even if I am losing ground on finesteride?

The worst one is when you open up to someone and they try to minimize your feelings towards your hair loss. I've heard both "It's just hair!" and "There are bigger problems in the world!" I notice that the people who always tend to say these types of things are always people who either have full heads of hair (particularly women), or people who are already fully bald and found acceptance with it. You know who never tells me "it's just hair"? The person who's in the mid process of losing their hair. Man what a privileged position one must be in to have either a full head of hair, or be fully bald and over the whole thing, in which they can then trivialize my experience with hair loss when I open up to them about it.

Hey, just grow up, man up and accept the changes! Im bald and just shave my head every other day and I dont miss my hair, and like they have told you, ITS JUST HAIR! Be like all of us who accept it and simply shave it and show it to everyone with pride! Nothing will make you get your hair back

Most intelligent and hard working guys I know who were going bald now have pretty excellent looking heads of hair. It very much can be done.

Hair loss is no joke. I've spent over $40K in hair transplants and ended up filing for bankruptcy. But I regret absolutely nothing. I'd do it all over the exact same in a heart beat. Get on finasteride ASAP!

The most stupid mistake, wasting money for cosmetic 💩and ending up bankrupt. You will regret later in life.

@@kwt2000trucker Not at all. I ended up moving to South Korea and absolutely love it here. My debt back in the USA means nothing at this point. I just wish I would of gotten all the surgeries here because the cosmetic surgeons in South Korea or unbelievably good. Going bankrupt turned out to be a blessing.
